The restaurant at Limestone reflects a traditional country house. But combined with a fusion of bright, modern colours makes this a unique dining experience, enhanced by spectacular views over this quintessential part of the English countryside. Our resta
A great welcome to the restaurant, however I was taken aback that on the hottest day of the year there was no air conditioning or at the least any fans. We were brought complimentary bread and oils which was a nice touch. The menu was small which on the one hand means the food is fresh but a bit too limited. I had scallops to start which was very tasty with the pea puree but expensive at £9.50. For mains I had roasted summer vegetable and chickpea ragout, which was nice until the very end when I found a small piece of plastic in my food. I didn't say anything as I didn't want to create a fuss. I agree with the other review there was no atmosphere it felt a bit ostentatious with the type of clientele that go there. It would have been nicer to sit outside in the cool air...

Visited this restaurant on a very busy lunchtime on a hot day without a reservation. As I was only looking for a table for 1 a very helpful waitress quickly cleared up a table and I was sat down within a few minutes. The courtyard outside benefits from being in the full sun but each table has a sun shade for those who donât want to sit in the sun whilst eating. I ordered the fresh Dorset Mussels and they were stunning. Creamy garlic hue portion with fries and fresh crusty bread. Very reasonable price bearing in mind portion size and location. Have already recommended to friends visiting the area soon. Def will be going back there next time Iâm in lulworth cove.

Bishops is a large detached building on the beach at Lulworth cove. It has a large garden and swimming pool overlooking the Cove. It has three suites, a bar and a 30 seater dining room.
We booked at Bishops as we had never been in there before on our many trips to Dorset. When booking, the restaurant looked very nice and the signs outside stated they were Michelin rated in 2014, 2015 & 2016. We were expecting a lovely Sunday roast...not so! When it arrived, there were 3 roast potatoes, pork, a dish of veg & parsnips. No Yorkshire puddings!! what decent Sunday roast doesn't have Yorkshires?? All in all an edible but basic roast not worth the Michelin rating or £12.50. Had much nicer in a Toby carvery for nearly half the price.
