When we visit Formby, its a must to go to James' We order cod and chips and all the xtras that a large family gathering will need. Its great take away food and smashing valueI don't know if they deliver we always collect.

Found this restaurant today 27/10/2018. And what a find. The staff were very accomdating considering we had not booked a table. They were very attentive in settling us all in and getting the drinks orders out of the way. Our order was Sunday lunch x 4. Mum had a small size, my brother and nephew had regular sized and myself feeling hungry had the large with extra roast potatoes. The food was excellent and must say one of the top 2 Sunday dinners I have enjoyed. Everything on the plate was piping hot. And everyone enjoyed and left a bit over. Full credit goes to the staff Jen, Helen & Kate for service and to the Chef Aaron (17 yrs old) keep producing food like this my friend and you will go far. 5âââ all the way.Thank you

This has got to be one of the best Chip shops around, I live across the road and use the place all the time, it is 100 times better than the other Chip shop down the road. Everything is cooked to order, yes you have to wait, this is what happens when food is 'cooked to order'The place is wheel chair friendly, which is great for people, opening hours are very reasonable, but the main thing is the quality of both the service and food, its excellent!!! The staff are a credit to the business (Family members I believe) so polite and efficient, I will be honest, I often see them leaving after a hard shift but they are still laughing and joking (Being someone who deals with the public daily, this takes some doing)Everyone needs to try this place out, I have seen some negative reviews and to be honest I have no idea where they are coming fromKeep up the good workDaveHello DaveThank you so much for your excellent review.!! You are right, we are a family run business. My son and 2 daughters work alongside our other staff while I run around in the background keeping everything working like clockwork.
