We visited here three times in our short visit to Seaham. Once for a snack, once for dinner and then again the next morning for breakfast. The staff on all occasions were really very friendly and helpful. Lovely people. My husband had the pigeon i believe for his main meal which was very tasty. It came with peas and carrots, no potatoes or anything and although he said it was very nice, he did say there were just too many peas. From my point of view it did appear to be just a plateful of vegetables lol. I had the burger and while it was tasty i do have to say it was very dry sadly. I wouldn't have it again. We ordered a side dish of potato wedges and they were lovely, very crispy on the outside. The breakfast however was a different story. Really lovely, very tasty. We both had the banana pancakes, i had the one with fruit and yoghurt, my husband had the savoury one with bacon and eggs. We both enjoyed those greatly, very tasty, although there was some cinnamon in there which wasn't mentioned on the menu and i'm not a fan of cinnamon. Fortunately i still enjoyed it. The main issue that we had was how long it took for the food to arrive. When we went for dinner we were pretty much the only people in there and it took a while. The next morning there were i think another 4 tables occupied when we were there and it took us almost an hour from ordering our pancakes until they arrived. We weren't expecting that delay and we were rather surprised since they were only pancakes lol. Still, they were tasty. I have hovered between a 3 and a 4 for this review, just tipped to the 4 because the staff were lovely.

A no frills little restaurant if you drove past you would see queues of people being served (and very quickly to). The food is authentic, the owner having spent many years out Far East with his Malaysian wife (I think). The food is delicious with a great choice, and not to expensive too. It is eat all you want for a set price, and believe me a couple of platefuls of different food will suffice anyone. There is plenty of room for parking on surrounding streets.

First of all...there is a smell. When you walk in, a smell, like a public toilet. Probably made by a stinky mop used to clean the floor. I was scared when we were shown to a table in a corner next to a door. However, it was a kitchen door and not a toilet door. A guy from the bar gave us menus and told us heâd come and take our drinks order. Still waiting fo him. I asked for a beer from the comprehensive drinks menu. Got a blank look in return. I pointed to what I wanted. Waitress mumbled something and shrugged. I ordered a glass of water and went over to the bar to see for myself what beers are actually available. Not a lot, compared to the menu.
