We decided to visit Piato in Baldock with friends one Saturday evening to try a restaurant we had not been too. We were in a group of 8 and it was quite busy inside. Needless to say, the service was great and we were quickly greeted by the waiter to take our order for drinks. When we ordered our main food we did not have to wait too long for it to arrive despite it being very busy. The food was lovely and could not fault any part of it. We also ordered desert which again was lovely. If you are a fan of Greek food or wish to try something different I would highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be going back!
Where to eat Pub food in Baldock: The Best Restaurants and Bars
This is a fantastic place with lovely food, super attentive and friendly staff, and a fab atmosphere (from the decor to the music). We all really enjoyed our visit here and it's also quite reasonably priced with nice portion sizes! The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because I think there could have been more vegetarian options for the main courses as it was very meat heavy. But would definitely visit again!

We specialize in charcoal grilled food that is healthy and simple. Our dishes have various influences from across the Mediterranean, from the olive groves of Greece to the tapas bars of Spain, a resulting in an exciting and distinctive blend of flavours.
This was a first visit and canât say we will be rushing back. The service is fine, but the food wasnât really up to much. The tapas dishes arrived within minutes of ordering so obviously preprepared and microwaved as needed. Wouldnât have been so bad if it was evenly heated - chorizo was burning hot and therefore hard as it was over cooked, albondigas were barely warm. Taste of all the dishes was okay but portions are small - not an issue if they are top quality, but these arenât. The main course we had was ok and freshly cooked, but you donât get a lot for your money - a £14 chicken dish is just a plate of chicken with some tomato and lettuce (although it was advertised as coming with mushrooms and peppers). The issue with mixing tapas and big plates is that those eating tapas had finished eating before those with main courses got their food. There are better places to go in Hitchin, and Iâm guessing the high rating comes from big groups who are looking for atmosphere and value rather than quality.
