We picked this restaurant off the internet and we were very pleased with the reception. We had a table in a window seat and were allowed time to choose our lunch. The food was freshly cooked and I had fish in batter which just fitted the pate. We have logged the restaurant for another visit.

From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome and at ease in the beautiful surroundings of this pub and the reception we had from staff. The food is exceptional and the service the same. We chose to sit in their gorgeous beer garden to eat our meal and our little boy, being very excited chose the highest part to sit in. This was still no trouble for the lovely publican who effortlessly walked the steps to deliver our meal. Good prices, great quality and not just dog friendly, but dog lovers. Even though we live in Cheltenham I have no doubt we will make the effort to visit again.

Truly a highlight and the best surprise of our short trip through Shaftesbury! We stumbled upon this amazing pub restaurant at the bottom of Gold Hill which offers the best selection of authentic Greek and English pub fare we've had in ages! Our meals were scrumptious - grilled sea bream served whole with lemon oil and the chicken souvlaki which arrived in true Greek style dangling on a giant skewer, freshest veggies and chips cooked to perfection. And we even found Greek Metaxa in the bar to top the night off- a must have! What a great place to spend the evening welcomed by the charming hostess, her friendly and attentive staff and their Chow dog in this idyllic setting. We are fans for life! See you again soon!
