We were quickly served as only guests in the restaurant. Friendly staff and food was okay, wouldnât say it was particularly special, but we enjoyed it and portions okay. The pad Thai wasnât to my liking, seemed very mushed up if that makes sense, like overcooked.

always been hit and miss but i've been living in the village for 5 years now and thought i would give another go. ordered won-ton, crab soup and 3 seafood noodles to take out. the soup was thick, translucent and insipid (looked like it had been in the freezer for a long time.the noodles were pretty awful, too. the actual noodles were burnt at the side. on top was a pile of overcooked vegetables and prawns.the won-ton was pretty good, however.definitely won't be returning again. i would ask for a refund but can't be asked.

We get a takeaway from here at least once per week, and it's always good. I get a little frustrated by people giving low ratings because the delivery service is slow/rude/absent... this is a takeaway, not a taxi service and the important factor is the quality of the food. Will you be complaining about the make of car that delivers your food next?Our experience is that the ladies that answer the phone are always polite, they cater to any request (e.g. in our case no MSG added) and the food is piping hot, tasty and consistent. We generally go for one noodle and one rice dish, and a couple of mains, and we've never been disappointed. If there was any criticism, sometimes the fried rice is a little oily, but that's pretty rare.So, a review based on around 50 takeaways rather than just one - best Chinese in Dunmow so stop moaning about the delivery service and make the effort to collect!
