We visited in the early evening on Easter Sunday. It was quiet in the restaurant with lots of people coming in to collect takeaways. The service was great and we were particularly impressed by the food - we tend to eat the same (vegetarian) dishes at a variety of Indian restaurants and we were very pleasantly surprised by the food here. Our favourites were the Tarka Dall and the Channa Dall Balti.

We have done our curry research trying all curry houses in the area ... by far the best is the Bengal lounge ... from excellent service upon arrival friendly staff great selection of chutneys and dips before our very tasty main courses.... we were to full for deserts but a great choice ... lovely hot face towels too ! to we will 100% be back ! Thank you for a lovely evening much love Debra and Gareth

And I mean two! The restaurant was empty and I suppose that could be expected for a Wednesday night but would have thought that there would be lots of holiday makers at that time of year.Anyway, this made it rather uncomfortable as we felt the staff were looking at us throughout our meal, they were very attentive! In terms of the food, I would say itâs average.
