What a wonderful find. The menu is exciting and the dishes offered are different and interesting with good descriptions to help you chose. The quantity and quality of the meat in the dishes is unsurpassed by any Indian restaurant I have previously visited, and I have been to dozens, Despite the thirty minute drive it will now be my go too Indian. The staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are very reasonable. The interior is smart and clean with a lovely ambiance. Can't wait for my next visit.

Whilst the food is not too bad at Montaz, we experienced some very, very poor table service and overall care and attention. We ordered a range of dishes which included a tandoori mixed grill and chicken patia - the latter of which was okay but not brilliantly fragrant - but I definitely felt there was more quantity over quality. None of the dishes were overwhelmingly great truth be told. The mixed grill accompanying salad was comprised of unattractive dried lettuce which was off-putting.The service was very subpar and slow. Our meals took quite some time to arrive, the dishes werenât cleared away after we finished poppadoms to begin with, and our request for another mango chutney and dips tray was forgotten. When we did receive service, it didnât come with a smile, there was zero friendliness and it was passionless.Much prefer St Ivesâ other curry house, Zzohanna. I wonât be coming back to Montaz in a hurry.
