Things to do in Cheshunt
This kebab place is always quite good, nothing special but you can guarantee a good kebab and chips for a reasonable price. Not sure how you can rate somewhere like this. They all seem the same to me

Skewd Kitchen offers truly authentic Anatolian fine dining, using specialist ingredients and the most modern and inventive cooking techniques in Cockfosters. This fabulous eatery should be one of your first choices to experience the best in authentic yet modern Turkish cuisine. Skewd Kitchen is run by Executive Chef Maz Demir who won Chef of the year at the British Kebab Awards in 2017 and 2019. If I need to describe his menu, I would say it is cultivated by the cultural heritage of Anatolia. From starters; kisir salad bulgur wheat, spring onions, tomato purée, and celery mixed herbs and pomegranate molasses, delicate and tasty. From hot mezzes; Pachanga Filo pastry, filled with mixed bell peppers, Portobello mushrooms, kashar cheese, cured fine beef and parsley, on roasted red pepper sauce, beautiful textures. And Hellim, charcoal grilled Cypriot cheese with Bertha roasted plum tomatoes, we all hooked . Adana Kebab, made with vigorously seasoned, chilli-flaked hand-chopped meat enriched by the smoke that results from fat dripping onto coals snaking its way around and through. Laid tenderly on a long thin slice of lavash it is the star of our meal. What more can I say. Just go and experience the incredible food!

Lavas recently expanded into the old 'Rose & Crown' Public House in Cheshunt. its postcode is EN8 8NJ
Ordered a regular shish wrap and when paying they charged me for a large and said I never stated which size. When I got home the wrapper was stuck in the food because of all the grease. Basically eating greasy paper for dinner. £9 for a kebab. Mental

We called in for lunch recently when we were let down by another restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. We were seated by a very friendly waitress, and immediately given salad, bread and some dips while we looked at the interesting menu. The portions were large, the meat well-cooked and everything was very tasty. The accompanying salad was lovely, fresh and crunchy. We had no room for dessert, but were given a small bowl of creamy rice pudding with three spoons! We enjoyed our lunch, and it appeared that the other people in the restaurant were equally satisfied.Good value, informal, well-cooked food.

Shish kitchen is the greatest Turkish restaurant on Great Eastern Rd, Cheshunt, Waltham Cross EN8 8DY Eat in or takeaway.
I'm unable to comment on the food, as due to the very poor service, I had to simply walk out. I was shown to a table which was next to a large party who they doted over and avoid any attempt at eye contact when I tried to order. After nearly 30 minutes of this, enough was enough, I was tired and hungry, so left and despite staying at the hotel next door, drove to another restaurant. Service therefore was non-existent.Dear sir/madam, I am really sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience at out restaurant. However on reviewing the CCTV footage I can see that you decided to leave after just 17 SECONDS or viewing the menu. I would like to know the real reason for your complaint so that it will not be repeated in the future.kind regards
