Called in for a light lunch and we were shown to a table by a nice young man, we decided to go with two small Cod & Chips as we were eating out in the evening and didn't want to eat too much. When our food arrived we were blown away with the quality of the fish & chips. I take my hat off to the staff as they couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. Well done to all concerned, we will definitely go back in the future.

A group of 9 of chose the Marine to celebrate the 50th anniversary of meeting each other in our student days and we were not disappointed: We pre-ordered which is fully understandable for a group of 9. The variety of choices on the menu was excellent with some really good vegetarian options. The food was superb and I would particularly recommend the shin of beef and the lobster. All of the staff did an excellent job in looking after us! I would not hesitate to recommend the Marine.

Albertâs Eatery is a one of a kind dining experience specialising in quality, fresh, local seafood. Whether youâre looking for a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day, a relaxed lunch after walking up and down the cobbles, or a fine dining experience
We came here for a special family lunch. There were 6 adults, 3 children and two dogs. We were made to feel very welcome nothing was too much trouble. Really interesting place and the food was fantastic. 3 had the seafood platter and everything was top quality and fresh. 2 had steaks and they were perfectly cooked. We would definitely come back.

There's plenty of competition in Whitby for those who love their traditional fish & chips, but this one is right up there. Not in the most obvious/ prominent position, but fairly easy to find. The service and the food were spot-on. No complaints. And that little bit cheaper than some more famous places, such as Magpie Cafe.

This restaurant was recommended to us both before we went to Robin Hoodâs Bay by a friend and by our B&B owner and other guests so we had to give it a try.A nice touch was the nibbles and tap water offered on seating. There is an extensive choice of meat and fish so something for most. It is only almost perfect because they made the school boy error of only telling me they did not have my choice when taking my order - the waitress knew as soon as I gave the order so why not tell me as she gave me the menu instead of letting me decide?Having said that, the alternative I chose was delicious - pulled short rib from the specials board. The starter of goatâs cheese parcel was divine and large enough for a main course. The mains came with a side of veg or salad and new potatoes or excellent chips. Unfortunately the portions were so huge we couldnât finish everything. The bill came to just under £65 for 2 for 2 courses and a very drinkable bottle of Rioja which we felt was very good value for the quality on offer.

What a beautiful place, in a beautiful setting, with beautiful delicious food!! A fabulous place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We found this lovely restaurant on Trip Adviser and it really surpassed our expectations. We were on a break, travelling around the North of England and I can honestly say this was the best meal we ate all week. The Fish Pie was to die for, and the service so friendly and welcoming. If you're ever in the area, please go, you won't be disappointed. Plus we so wish we'd booked to stay there. They kindly showed us their accommodation, which was fabulous. If we go back to Whitby, we know where we'll be staying, far superior to other local accommodation.

Named one of the best beaches in the World, the picturesque village of Robin Hoodâs Bay is home to the Bramblewick Fish & Grill. Dating back to the 17th century, just a stone's throw from the beach. Indulge in a mouth-watering evening meal, freshly prepar
My sister and I popped into here for lunch. Best stop ever. I had seafood platter that came with warm bread home made pickles. The cockles and mussels in a little jar with cocktail sticks to eat them was brilliant. My sister had the mussels which were the best we have ever ever tasted. Plump fresh with a wine and shallot sauce to dip your warm bread in. If ever in Robin Hoods Bay give this a try you definitely wonât be disappointed.

Classic dishes are our favourites so that's what we serve, using modern cookery to bring them up to date. The kitchen team has a total of 42 years professional cooking experience and double that living by the sea. They know a good looking fish when they s
Lovely food but so slow to deliver ,had drunk our bottle of wine before we got the fourth course ! 3 hours altogether Dear farmeggs, Thank you for taking the time to review us. We would have loved to know what you thought about our food. We're sorry that the tasting menu took too long for you, we do explain when booking that we ask people to arrive between 7pm & 7:30pm and people usually leave 9:45pm - 10pm. Perhaps any of our other services, lunch and dinner, where we serve a la carte would have been more suitable. Kind regards, Bridge Cottage

Arrived on Thursday 31st October and went early evening. 4 of us had fish and chips with mushy food peas, buttered bun and white bread!! The food was fantastic, so good in fact we decided that we had to go back on the next night. Whether we our expectations were to high but Friday 1st November just wasnât as good. The fish was superb still, it was the chips... they were dry and overcooked. As we were queuing up to get a seat I had noticed they had a load of chips cooked in one of the back warm up cupboards. And it really showed in the chips. All 4 of us felt slightly disappointed after how excellent it was the night before

Staying at a cottage in Sleights it was inevitable that we would try this due to the excellent write ups. Arrived at about 7pm on a Saturday night and as expected, quite busy. However, service was friendly and quite quick. There is parking available both inside and on the road outside. The restaurant is licensed for those wanting to eat and I can confirm that the fish and chips were excellent. Not greasy like some and definitely worth a visit.
