We came for a lunch out for Fatherâs Day and we were amazed by how nice the food is. We tried the ham hock( large with amazing amounts of flavour) as well as lamb and beef roast. Best food Iâve tasted for a while. Worth the visit with friendly staff ensuring customer satisfaction the entire time you are visiting 5/5* review from me

The Angel is very much a neighbourhood pub with no frills but friendly staff and regulars who seemed to be enjoying themselves. Food is good, hearty stuff - but beware of the portion sizes. I had as a starter potato wedges with chilli and cheese; it overflowed the plate and made me regret having ordered a main course. Fish and chips turned out to be two large battered fish and a mound of chips I couldn't finish. Washed down with very good beer, I couldn't eat for 24 hours. Happy experience, though.Thank you for the review and glad you enjoyed your food , look forward to your next visit you were both a pleasure to serve and chat to Julie

Just been refurbished to a very high standard with a great range of Real Ales and a rotational craft beer and a fantastic Gin menu
Venue was quiet, clean and had a subtle character. The venue had music but it was not overbearing which allowed conversation.Staff were polite, friendly and attentive but importantly did not rush us.Visited Waltham Abbey as it was where my father was brought up.Me and my father both had the 3 cheese lasagne which was very hot and of a generous proportion. Both portions came with a large portion of salad and 2 slices of Italian bread. The lasagne was obviously freshly made.Price was very reasonable at £9 a plate. Also price for all the other dishes on the menu were reasonable too.Did not have dessert as our meal was more than filling enough. The only downside is that unless there was a separate dessert menu I could see no option except under the children's' menu but this could also mean I did not look hard enough.Thank you very much for your lovely comments, all of our food is homemade and freshly prepared daily so thank you for noticing. We do have a dessert menu which is available on request, I am sorry that this was not offered. Once again thank you for your lovely review and look forward to welcoming you back soon :)

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Inn on the Park is a great place to Come and dine with friends and family.
We were a party of five and when we arrived, we were shown to table 13/1 which is a round table located in the corner of the front dining area and is very comfortable for parties of 5/6 adults. Our server, Carmela was very prompt in taking our drinks and food orders and also in serving them up shortly after. Most of us ordered the sirloin steaks for our mains which were very tasty and cooked to order. We all had a great evening as we normally do in this place as we find this restaurant very relaxing and comfortable and will certainly return again in the near future.Another fab review from you Alan :) such great news to hear that we was able to provide outstanding service again :) see you again soon :)

We were greeted at the door on Weds evening by a very smiley waitress who suggested a table by the fire as it was such a chilly night! Lovely personal service and a good selection of flavoured ciders. Had a tasty, hot meal (fish & chips and steak & kidney pudding) and decided to share a dessert. Our waitress (didn't catch her name, was unusual, sorry) was really good fun and was happy to suggest a couple of her favourite desserts. We took her advice and had the profiteroles which were delicious. We do like McMullens pubs, and this one was no exception. We look forward to coming back on a warmer day.Thank you Jon. Glad you had a great experience here at the Plough. Your feedback will be passed on to the team. Hope to see you again soon.Regards Charlotte

We arrived on a very busy night and was greeted by a friendly, efficient young lady who seated us straight away. As it was our first visit we first noticed the unique decor which created a lovely non intrusive atmosphere. Our waitress was clearly busy but she was still very attentive and our meals and drinks arrived quickly. We really enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely visit again when weâre in the area. Thank you Marvellousmarie2016 for your 5 star review and such kind words. We are very happy to hear you enjoyed your visit with us and hope to see you again soon.Kind regardsChrissy

Came here with my friend for lunch. We both had the ploughmanâs platter which was excellent value for money- very generous portions - all for £12.00. The food was fresh and delicious and there was an extensive menu. The staff were friendly , efficient and helpful. The pub is set in a beautiful location and the pub itself is gorgeous. We took the dog and was able to sit comfortably in the front garden with the other dog owners. Not sure if the pub wants to attract dog walkers but my only slight complaint- it would have been nice to have some bowls of water for the dogs but this was not really a problem. I do hope to go back to try one of the other dishes - everything I saw coming out looked delicious.Hi thanks for your lovely review. Really glad you enjoyed it! Sorry you didnât see any dog bowls, we do normally have a couple scattered around but they may have been taken to the back garden! Donât be afraid to ask, we will always go and look for one for you!! Hope to see you again!

This is a nice, warm and friendly traditional pub that still offers a reasonably priced lunch and evening meal menu where the various dishes are cooked to order and always served up hot and fresh. We visit this place whenever we are in the area and can highly recommend it to everybody. You will not be disappointed.
