Charming Traditional 14th Century Thatched Pub offering a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, together with home-cooked food using local ingredients and suppliers.
Visited this cosy pub three times whilst on holiday in Tregony. Good, honest pub grub at reasonable prices (smaller portions available). Food was tasty and well cooked and the staff friendly and helpful. A lovely mix of diners, locals and visitors, which made for a pleasant experience. Give it a try!Hi cap42, Landlady here. Many thanks for taking the time to post a review, glad to see you enjoyed your visits to us, and hope we see you again next time you come to Cornwall.

The Heron Inn is a beautiful waterside pub, with stunning views over the river Fal. We are open all day, every day from 10am, serving freshly prepared homemade meals, ranging from a light lunch to hearty meals, and an excellent range of daily specials. Bo
I met up with son and hos partner on sunday the 13/19/19 nad decided to eat at the Heron. a lovely location but the food was not up to much, my son ordered a steak with a sauce his steak was ok but the sauce tasted nothing like it should it was tasteless cheesy flavor awful, he asked for a replacement it came back the same, my sons partners meal was fine, but my own meal a steak. I ordered med/rare which it was but it was so tough I couldn't even cut the steak with the so called steak knife, i paid nearly £80 very poor value.the plate was sparce with a mushroom with a few cherry toms some chips and the steak. The whole meal ,lacking in vision and quality, I drove all the way from Liskeard I wish I had used a local resturaunt..Thank you for your well written review. I have spoken to my team who served you on the night, who went to at length to make sure your party were happy. Your description of our steak is incorrect as you missed out the battered onion rings and lambs leaf lettuce that was served with your steak? Our meat is sourced locally and if any issues, we will always try to rectify these as soon as we are made aware. You forgot to mention that your meal was actually refunded and yet you still feel compelled to leave a poor review??As for the vision and quality of our steak, we are a refined restaurant that strives on quality for all our customers. Perhaps The Heron Inn is not to your liking.

NEW TENANTS - September 2019 The Hawkins Arms is the only pub in the village of Probus, located midway between Turo and St Austell. Its famous for having the tallest church tower in Cornwall. The tower is 129 feet (39 m) high. The Hawkinsâs décor is sympa
We have been back a couple of times since the new owners took over. I am delighted to say that Chef Angus is still there & the food is as stunningly good as always. Absolutely wonderful & the new decor in the pub makes it feel so warm & friendly. All the staff are lovely & we are going back on Sunday as we are lucky enough to be local!

The Kings Arms is a pub restaurant.
Invited 9 of my family who live in Cornwall and Devon for Sunday lunch at Kings Arms all had different dishes and all of them said ,without prompting ,how lovely, the food was and they would come back again.Plus on top of that that the portions were huge to the extent that my wife and 2 others couldn`t eat it all.Although they still managed dessert which again were huge.I would also like to mention the staff who were brilliant because our lot arrived at different times wanted different things etc.etc.and they handled it all with a smile so thank you all at KINGS ARMS,Tregony.Thank you so much for your kind review- hope to see you and your family again very soon!!

A charming unspoilt traditional English Pub offering quality cuisine , ales and wine .
Took my parents to the Roseland Inn for their first visit at lunch today.Between us we had the Ham-hock Scotch Egg (perfectly executed), Whitebait & chips, Seabass fillets on a salmon & dill risotto and a main sized pan-seared Scallops with salad. All dishes were cooked perfectly and nicely presented. My mum, who is a stickler for everything, declared the scallops were the most perfectly cooked and the French salad dressing the best sheâs ever had outside France. My wife - also very particular - enjoyed the seabass dish very much.

Arrived mid week, very welcoming and they had Thatchers on draft. My partner had the most enormous steak n ale pie with new pots and veg which she reckoned was the best sheâd ever had. I had the lasagne which I thought came with chips but apparently thatâs only if you order during the day, as in the evening it comes with garlic bread. Can only assume I misread the menu but baffling to me. It was a little bland to be honest, I normally refrain from ordering meals that I can do better myself, and I wish Iâd had the steak pie. We shared a sticky toffee pudding which was lovely

We turned up for lunch on a Sunday, loads of local people piling in for Sunday lunch with a smattering of tourists and lots of dogs, all very friendly and lively. How a local pub should be.I had one of the specials - 6 scallops with a nice salad, absolutley delicious local produce cooked simply. Then lovely bread and butter pudding.Thoroughly recommended.

The Kings Head is a family owned pub, set in the heart of the Roseland Peninsula within the secluded village of Ruan Lanihorne. Being a Freehouse, our emphasis is on supporting local beers, wines and spirits as well as local growers. The beef and lamb com
Visited here for a meal towards the end of June, based on the recommendation of our holiday cottage manager. The pub was recently under new management at the time, and were struggling with suppliers, but were very accommodating so it didn't impact our visit. The food was delicious, its a small menu and not standard pub food, but what we had was excellent! The staff were also lovely and accommodating, and we were even able to meet the resident dogs. All in all it was a great evening, and I'll visit again when I'm next in the area!

Stayed at the pub and have eaten there quite a few times. Purely lovely pub with fantastic food and wonderful landlord/landlady. It is a village pub at its best !!!! I actually cannot fault this delightful pub and have the pleasure of being in Veryan regularly now so will have many visits whether for food or staying there.

The Cutty Sark has an informal pub style dining area on the upper level as well as more formal restaurant on the ground floor that is also available for private party hire.
I booked a table by phone and was surprised to find the Pub restaurant almost empty. We were worried whether this was because the food was not up to much but were in for a surprise. The roast lamb with vegetables we ordered was lovely and rich, very tasty.Quite a different experience from other Sunday roasts in town recently, which haven't been up to scratch one way or another, from lukewarm or uncrispy roast potatoes or swimming in gravy. We found out later that the Pub had only just restarted offering Sunday lunches.Definitely worth another visit or two.
