Set in Snowdonia National Park, a family run business which offers heartily home cooked food. We pride ourselves on quality locally sourced produce and a homely atmosphere with views from the restaurant overlooking Snowdon.
Two minutes walk from where we stayed at The Estuary Lodge. Made to feel very welcome on arrival on a Friday evening and we hadn't booked. Excellent atmosphere, food, drinks and service. Food is of an excellent standard and large portions which we all enjoyed. Thank You H & K.

Place has undergone a few changes, new proprietor, staff and chef, the food is readily available at the advertised times, pool table removed to create more dining space, and newly carpeted. Food is fairly priced, daily specials are offered, also on Wednesday evenings, a special offer of 2 meals for £12 (excluding steak), which is excellent value, and should prove at least as popular as their weekend carvery. I have sampled their fish and chips, mushroom stroganoff and three bean chilli, all of which were very tasty. A big improvement...

We popped in for a drink as it is part of the hotel where we were staying. Enjoyed the fact that it is part of the community, not a gloomy 'hotel bar'. Roaring real fire, TV on with some match, the place was full of families. Certainly comfortable and well run! Great staff. You have hit the nail on the head with your comments about our bar. We are the heart of the community with as many locals as guests which give our bar a lovely local feel. We are child and dog friendly and show all the major sporting events on our TV. These events are very popular with a fantastic atmosphere, especially when Wales are playing!

We were told the food here is fantastic and I can confirm itâs true. Fresh cooked, good quality food, well presented by very friendly staff. Dog friendly and even gave our large dog his own bowl of water. Will definitely be coming back again.

TÅ· Mŵg âBeer & Brisketâ smokehouse has a brand new menu to tempt you all inâ¦â¦.. The concept is American Smokehouse with Welsh sourced meats being cooked âlow & slowâ. All the meat is cooked and smoked in-house and served with an extensive variety of delic
A very poor example of a kitchen that is obviously run by a disfucntional leader which spews into service. No sirloin at 7pm on a night that the restaurant is virtually empty?Speaks volumes for organisation?Not.260 quid spent and will definitely not return.Avoid this ping ping diner and get out folks.

Visited Porthmadog after visiting Carnavon Castle. Beautiful village with small train operating from Carnavon and beyond worth the trip . Was there during bank holiday long weekend. Not as crowded . All of northern wales is beautiful. The Ship was very good . Worth a visit but all the shops in town are very quaint and people very friendly.

Having looked in Porthmadog for food and not finding anything suitable or open we stumbled across the Union Inn, and what a treat. Service was quick and friendly and the food was fantastic with a very generous portion. We will be back before we leave for home.
