Order taker had all the social skills of a wet dishrag. Suggested a lite beer as an option for an IPA. Requested crispy fries, and all they did was use more smoky paprika ("atomic"). Venison sausage salad was so underdressed that I had to get up and go to the bar to ask for more, as no server staff checked with us on our orders.I suggest anyone avoid eating there.

Went for an early dinner and was pleasantly surprised how busy it was. It appears to be frequented by the locals as a bar which added to the atmosphere.They have made the most with the sitting area (it's actually not that big an area)...the staff are very helpful and friendly.Wowser the pizza was fantastic. My friend had the beer flight with her pizza which was suitably enjoyed!Definitely will be back soon. Hey Seonaidh, thanks for taking the time to leave a review for us! It was a pleasure to look after you! You're spot on, our locals make us who we are, and we're always thrilled to get new guests such as yourselves too! My son and partner treated me to a birthday evening meal, this is the third time I have visited since the new owners opened the doors. Look this is an easy review to write JUST GO, NO CHANCE OF ANY DISAPOINTMENT , food portions price and service exelant !!!!Thank you very much!

If your looking for a typical pub lunch then come here. Their food on offer is good and at a good price. Table service too.There are lots of tables both inside and in in conservatory. Iâm not sure you can eat outside but there are tables in an beer garden area.This is also a really good bar, often having live music and a good all round atmosphere. If you here for a weekend itâs worth popping in to see a band or have a drink

As we stopped at the nearby Travelodge recently, after a long days drive it made sense to walk over to The Glover Arms for our evening meal. My wife and I weren't that impressed with the Travelodge (see separate Tripadvisor review), so our expectations weren't that high, but we were agreeably surprised.The restaurant decor and layout is very pleasant and there was a nice 'buzz' about the place on the evening of our visit. Staff were welcoming and friendly.Service (from Karolina) was prompt, but not rushed.We started with a shared platter, then had mains of ham, egg n' chips and a pizza, all washed down by a beer and large glass of decent wine. Without being 'fine dining' this was better-than-expected quality food, cooked well and at £50 (which included a well earned tip), good value.Recommended.Hi thereThank you so much for the great review, I am delighted that you enjoyed your visit with us and that everything was to your liking. Steve Rose from West Yorkshire sang here on Saturday night. The place was buzzing all night. It's only a small (tiny) size bar but can pack quite a few people in it. Steve's son who now lives locally, used to sing in a Take That Tribute band. He sang a song and rocked it! Just one of the best nights I've had for a long time.

Enjoyed dinner at the Pitcairngreen Inn. Shared two starters of pakoras and nachos between four as starters are generous. For mains, two of us had steak pie, one had scampi and one had fish and chips. Only one of us had a sweet of homemade cheesecake. All sweets are homemade.The food was fresh, tasty and very enjoyable. Including drinks (3 pints of lager and 2 glasses of wine), the bill came to £76. Service was excellent - very friendly and attentive staff. All in all, Pitcairngreen Inn serves good food, is tremendous value for money and a great asset to the village.

Found this while searching trip advisor for Perth. What a gem. Staff super friendly and helpful, fantastic reasonably priced food. Lots of places to sit and interesting decor. The free jugs of water were a lovely touch. Highly recommended and would happily go again on a return visit.
