This pub is our local and used to be very good then it went downhill rude staff cold food inedible steak dirty tables and cutlery. We went with our neighbours who also had stayed away for a few years. Our booked table was reserved with our name on it the bar was not busy so got served quickly the girl was pleasant I asked her if the steak was edible was it like shoes leather or was it tender her amusing answer was It's off a cow how do I know! it's cows bum I can't say if it will be edible! I think training in customer relations is needed here ! however she made us laugh and the food was excellent and service also excellent .The tables were sticky and tacky and the menus also sticky and dirty so they need to be cleaned too.Simple things like clean menus and tables could make such a difference to the whole experience . We travel a lot and find even in so called poorer countries the restaurants are spottless and service excellent..Hello Yazzmena, Thank you for your positive feedback, we appreciate honest feedback from all our guests. We're pleased you enjoyed your experience with us.

We are a traditional village public house and restaurant with bags of character. Offering a wide and varied range of real ales and freshly prepared home cooked food. Meals can even be purchased from our very own Village Shop!!
We came across this pub when our walk was rained off. It was a typical country pub full of people chatting and enjoying themselves but it is obvious that it is also a "proper" restaurant laid for "proper" diners! However, we ate in the pub and the food could not have been any better if we had seated ourselves in the restaurant as it was excellent. They do advise that food is cooked to order and so there may be a wait but the atmosphere in the pub was lively and entertaining so was not a problem for us. This was a good find on a miserable day.

My friend and I went here for the first time today for lunch. We sat outside, they have a really nice outside seating area by the river. The staff were really friendly. This place is very modern with quirky decor, everywhere was spotlessly clean. We both had the cheese and ham melt with skinny fries, the food was very nice! We will definitely visit this place again on a summers day âï¸Bec-Notts-2209, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at The Trent Lock!Kind regards,Brooke

Probably most famous for it's huge beer garden, which proves massively popular in the summer, The Bridge is great value with great choice. A brand new food menu* offers a wide range of dishes including a huge chargrilled steak section. Accompanying an imp
Fantastic service, food was top quality, came out on time, tasted great and was very fairly priced. Our whole family loved their dining experience and we'll certainly be back for another meal soon. The staff are really friendly and the overall atmosphere is fantastic. I highly recommend a visit here!

We wandered round Shardlow after a coffee in the clock warehouse and eventually came to the malt shovel ready for a sandwich lunch . It was busy maybe due to the lovely Easter weather . The staff are friendly and our food arrived fresh and well presented .

Visited on a friday lunch time, and was quite impressed. Menu is extremely large - probably too much in fairness - and there are also additional snack and early bird menus. Had a pulled pork sandwich and fries, which was tasty and well presented. I wouldn't rush back, but it was a good place for a quick pit stop

The Nags Head prides itself on its outstanding Cask Ale Beers and Home made traditional English food at a fair price. At the Nags Head Inn it retains many of its original features with the lounge having beamed ceilings and the bar having a wood burning st
If you want home-cooked, traditional pub grub rather than chain-pub ding dong slop or over priced arty-farty gastro pub fayre then this is the place to go. Four of us ate for less than a tenner, the "early bird" lunch time deal takes some beating, decent stocked bar and wine list. I went for the soup and faggots off the early-bird and the cheese and biscuits, a bargain at £4.50

Situated in the small town of Beeston which is located in the suburbs of Nottingham. The Corn Mill is unrecognisable following our refurbishment in October 2009. Close to Attenborough Wildlife Centre. Serves food all day and has guest beers. Friendly staf
Couldnt wait to go and see the new cornmill all re-vamped. Went on the trail night and again on the open night. And all i can say is...the trail night was not a one off...food, setting, service everything was sencond to none. They have pulled out all the stops. Great work done by all the staff. It was sooo busy. I really hope it continues for the team. Good luck and thank you for two great nights. We will be back for sure. Thanks for taking the time to let us know how we did. Have a great day!

Reasonable food, reasonable range, reasonably priced, but not 'excellent'. The portions were a little mean - 1/2 a small grilled tomato, 1 onion ring, and a few chips with an otherwise "nicely cooked" steak, then we payed extra for a sauce, and extra on top of that for 2 slices of mushroom, and a 'non-existent' blue cheese topping. The blue cheese topper was evident on my husband's dinner - but not on mine. Staff were OK, not rude or anything, but just seemed to be pre-occupied, and not interested in us at all. They were quite cold and almost frosty. Seating was OK, table clean, but not appealing or dressed. It was the end of a long day for us, and i was too tired too complain. Shame - as we had though a meal here would have rounded the day of perfectly, instead we were just glad to get home, and didn't bother staying for drinks or dessert.Hi Linda H, I'm really disappointed we've let you down and received this poor rating. If youâd like to provide your contact details to [email protected] Iâd really like to make contact with you and make this right. ThanksKimberley
