Mediterranean connoisseurs, Gables Restaurant offers an extensive menu of delectably seasoned ingredients. An excellent selection of global wines complements the colourful and vibrant dishes. The chic and spacious interior allows one to bask in its Medite
Having visited this restaurant tonight with friends I have to say how uncomfortable we were made to feel. Our orders were constantly challenged and questioned very loudly in earshot of neighbouring tables. The food was adequate at best although overpriced. However, the big bugbear was the appalling service. You are NOT meant to make your customers feel uncomfortable. Or talk down to them. The constant upselling is also off putting. We are not children. Asking for more water, substituting mash for fries, asking for parmesan on a pasta dish should not have invited personal comments from the waiting staff.

Skewd Kitchen offers truly authentic Anatolian fine dining, using specialist ingredients and the most modern and inventive cooking techniques in Cockfosters. This fabulous eatery should be one of your first choices to experience the best in authentic yet modern Turkish cuisine. Skewd Kitchen is run by Executive Chef Maz Demir who won Chef of the year at the British Kebab Awards in 2017 and 2019. If I need to describe his menu, I would say it is cultivated by the cultural heritage of Anatolia. From starters; kisir salad bulgur wheat, spring onions, tomato purée, and celery mixed herbs and pomegranate molasses, delicate and tasty. From hot mezzes; Pachanga Filo pastry, filled with mixed bell peppers, Portobello mushrooms, kashar cheese, cured fine beef and parsley, on roasted red pepper sauce, beautiful textures. And Hellim, charcoal grilled Cypriot cheese with Bertha roasted plum tomatoes, we all hooked . Adana Kebab, made with vigorously seasoned, chilli-flaked hand-chopped meat enriched by the smoke that results from fat dripping onto coals snaking its way around and through. Laid tenderly on a long thin slice of lavash it is the star of our meal. What more can I say. Just go and experience the incredible food!

Went to this Turkish restaurant for the first time. We were not very 'up' on the Turkish etiquette so we ordered some meze and a few other bits as starters ...big mistake :-) As soon as you order they bring complimentary plates of houmous, tzatziki mixed salad and copious amounts of pitta bread. By the time the starters arrived we were already stuffed. But it is amazing how much food you can pack inside when it as delicious as Aksular make it.The restaurant is very crowded (Saturday night) and noisy but if you can put up with that then this is a worthwhile visit

A charmingly small restaurant in the prestigious area of Hadley Wood with a stylish yet intimate ambiance and high quality, flavourful food.
On its own in a small parade of shops in the middle of Hadley Wood, Barnet. Good quality Greek Cuisine standing out from the standard Greek Restaurant. Prices tend to be medium to high depending on extras.Thank you so much for this fab review. Weâre really glad that you think we stand out from other Greek restaurants and we look forward to welcoming you to Thymari again soon!Warm wishesChristina Argyrou

Authentic Cucina Italiana running by a Italian family, we serve a traditional home made fresh pasta and a bronze range pasta with the best products of the market
Our pasta dishes tasted of fresh, quality ingredients: delicious and reasonably priced (£10-14). A recommended (organic) Italian red wine was a great match for the food and also very reasonably priced. Friendly service, welcoming service made us feel like we were in rural Italy and had stumbled upon an excellent local cucina. We will definitely return soon to try some more dishes.

Authentic Italian restaurant with a good selection of home made pastas, sourdough pizzas and desserts. To be enjoyed with a good glass of Italian wine. We do our popular sourdough pizza, as take away as well.
Whole experience is Italian. The menu is what most Britâs would identify as Italian both in its 4 course layout and items available. The wine - a dry red - was very good too. Food served in a timely manner by friendly courteous staff. Above average is atmosphere and styling - good quality table cloths, serviettes and glasses etc. Will be going back. Many thanks Ph1 MariOn for the Review. We you have enyoyed your dinnerAnd we all hope to see you again in the near future.Arrivederci Presto.

Returned hoping for a great meal. It was very bad. The microwave was working hard. The meme was same old and boring, shop bought dips warmed up stuffed vine leaves and over cooked meat balls. Same boring, except it was of bad quality, The food was over cooked or barely warmed in the microwave. The salad was a bowl of onions. We had to sit so close to the other diners. All squeezed in little sardines. The service was ok but not the best waiter just dropped plates down rushing us to eat and leave. The drinks even worst unless you drink Keo you have zero choice of anything else. Just lawful this place only cares about profit forgot about the customer. The bill came to over £200 for a rushed frozen over cooked meal in the nosiest restaurant. To me this is place is just an over rated take away. With bad food.

The restaurant provided a wonderful location for an 80th birthday party for Sunday lunchtime, accommodating 24 of us. The menu is extremely varied and in the main the food was very good and the service exceptional. I wouldRecommend the lamb shish and the feta in filo pastry. The only moan was the monkfish but 1 out of 48 courses is no mean feat. Charlie the owner was so attentive and made for a wonderful day. Big thank you.
