Comfortable restaurant with pleasant decor. There was a large Asian family dining, thus therefore high expectation of excellence cuisine. We waited some time before a young man delivered drinks (without saying a word!). Meanwhile, several ants crawled over the table !! We were slightly disappointed with the curries (4 different dishes) which were just OK. One final irritation was having to pay by CASH ONLY.

This has to be the best Indian takeaway in the whole of West Yorkshire. Fresh cooked and tasty food. Friendly staff and somewhere I would recommend to everyone to try.
Nice little restaurant. Food was excellent and mouth watering. Tried the desi nachos which was very nice. Menu is different from the other curry houses, with mackerel and salmon dishes, need to go again to try these. Staff are polite and friendly. Prices are reasonable and has a well stocked bar with plenty to choose from, also do BYO which is a bonus. Will be returning soon!

We go to the Taste of Indian frequently, usually at the weekend, and we have never been disappointed with the food or service. All the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. Every dish we have tried has been wonderful. It is only a small restaurant so if a group of people were going I'd recommend booking first. I notice somebody commented that they thought the price was excessive for what they had to eat and drink. The early-bird price of £8.95 for two courses and a sundry is only at specific times - from opening time but not sure until when - probably an hour or so. I would advise asking what time the early bird is if you want to go when the offer is on. Would recommend it thoroughly to anybody that enjoys Asian and Indian food. The drinks might be a little expensive compared to other establishments but the gorgeous food and service more than compensates for that. Highly recommended by us.

Welcome to Lanika Restaurant, Halifax. Our aim is to deliver beautiful quality food, all whilst in the chic and relaxed setting of our restaurant. We have a large selection of authentic Indian/Pakistani cuisine on offer, both in our main restaurant menu a
Service was prompt and we were seated to a table of six. Food a bit spicy but from the faces of other tables and...our table were smiling and enjoying. No small bowls were kept for the dessert so had to look and ask around. Good staple Indian dishes nothing spectacular.

Kamran Balti House is a restaurant and takeaway located on Union Street in Halifax. Indian and fast food dishes are available. Kamran Balti House has been serving Indian food for nearly 25 years now, and has become well established and a must go for the s
Called in this evening and asked for a veg curry and mushroom rice. The rice was taken away twice as the mushroom were not fresh..meanwhile my curry sat untouched, The third rice came with slimy rubber mushrooms, yest again in the dish. I told the staff I would not be touching any of this food as the vegetables are not fresh. Now the best is yet to come, when I was confronted at the paydesk by three men, who said they don't use FRESH vegetables, but buy in partly cooked ones and the same with their meats and chicken !!!!! They said no one cooks with fresh vegetables, it would take too long. I have never heard anything so ridiculous as this in my life.Thank goodness my husband left his chicken balti..I suppose with most of the clientele coming in late after a good drinking session are not too bothered with what they eat..if they only knew. This place should be closed down. And as for the manager who said he had a bad back..well if that;s what you want to try and pass off to some idiots who believe your LIES then do so, but we saw you bounce off the cars outside and hold onto the white car as we followed you in to the so called restaurant. seems you like telling lies!!!!. Oh and yet another dodge for not paying taxes with the money they take, because they only take cash and not till receipt with the vat number given. So not only are they liars , but thieves .

went on a Saturday early evening and found that they had an early bird on which was fantastic value at £9.95 for a starter and main/sundry and the menu was extensive. the food portions were large and very tasty the 4 different dishes we had all tasted different and they asked how you wanted it spiced which came spot on, the service was fabulous and the rose wine was only £9.95 a bottle so for 4 of us with beer/wine came to under £90 with a few extras and a tip...

This is our favourite restaurant in the area. We love the ambience and excellent friendly service. We had chicken tikka starter which was the best ever. The afghani murgh was delicious and had such an awesome depth of flavour. Loved the naan bread.

A delicious meal in Sowerby Bridge for six of us at Village Indian restaurant tonight. Authentic food freshly prepared in comfortable surroundings. Staff most helpful. Started with poppadum and pickling tray. Really enjoyed the lamb tikka saag Balti with pilau rice and saag aloo. Brought our own Indian beer to compliment the meal.
