Situated in the heart of Malvern with views of the Priory and the Vale of Evesham, Mulberry Tree Restaurant & Bar has a relaxed, country house feel in keeping with its Georgian townhouse surroundings. The vibrant decor of Mulberry Tree adds to an upbeat d
Yes the table was very good and the casual furniture is very comfortable. First of all the service is VERY SLOW - and they were not busy .A starter of smoked salmon would normally come with thin sliced brown bread - but not here. We asked for some and were eventually brought some rolls but NO butter ! One of our fish and chips was burnt to a crisp and had to be replaced. Sea bass had only one small fillet and a minimum of vegetables and was grossly overpriced. The belly pork had been overcooked and also came with barely a vegetable. A rump steak was not very good and no steak knife was supplied until asked for. Then came the ice cream - it was very good but it had little crystals of sugar which should have been disssolved. We had remebered that this restaurant was pretty ropey under the old owners - it's no better now, just more expensive without any justification.Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. Regarding the comments about the starter, our menu does not state it comes with bread at all, although when asked, this was provided for you. We do not do slices of bread, we only provide another starter of 'home made bread rolls and olives' which can also be ordered. I am sorry to hear the haddock was not cooked to your liking, the staff working on the evening of your visit rectified this as soon as this was mentioned. Our menu and the meals we serve are all carefully chosen by our head chef, we work with local suppliers to be able to serve fresh and seasonal produce, this will reflect in the price due to the quality of ingredients we use. Our portion sizes are a staple regular size, although if some have a larger appetite we do offer side dishes, this allows the guest to enlarge their own meal to their desire. All our desserts are homemade and we are glad you enjoyed these.Regards to the 'old owners' ,the Hotel and Restaurant Owner has been the same owner for the past 17 years.Feedback is very important to us, we will pass your comments onto the team.Kind Regards, BenRestaurant Manager & Mulberry Team.

It is with great pleasure we welcome you to Peppeâs, a family owned, independent restaurant, serving a mix of Italian and Mediterranean dishes. Nestled in the heart of Great Malvern town centre, we are a short walk from both the Malvern Theatre and the Ma
Visited Peppeâs from Caerphilly to meet up with daughter from Staffordshire, with all my family, for a birthday celebration. We were really impressed with this quaint family-run restaurant. It was tucked away in a small arcade and had a small downstairs area with the main restaurant upstairs. Not a large place but cosy. The menu was excellent, somewhat limited but sufficiently broad to satisfy six adults and four teenagers. There were two of our number who were veggy and they had good choice. The food quality was superb from a single chef. Everything freshly cooked and well presented. It was delicious! Service was excellent and our reception at the place was full of welcome. A lovely Italian (Sicilian) restaurant and a great experience! We are looking forward to going back sometime soon.

6 of us and we all ordered different starters and mains. All starters served together and hot where appropriate. All mains served together , hot and freshly cooked. All food was tasty and full of flavour according to each individual report from our group. Wine prices were about normal for this type of establishment. So no over pricing. The beer was quite pricey at nearly £4 for a small bottle. The choice was also very limited. Not a romantic place as it was extremely busy and a little noisy though not in a bad way.thank you so much We are very happy that you had a great time Lupo

Currently staying in the nearby caravan site. This was my choice for my birthday dinner but as they are closed on a Monday we went Tuesday instead. We reserved a table but it wasn't terribly busy so probably didn't need to but it's not a huge place so it's probably safer to book. The restaurant itself is very cosy with original beams and a 'homely' feel. We had a choice of where we wanted to sit. Service was prompt and polite. We both had the fillet steak with stilton & pistachio sauce which was absolutely delicious! Everything was cooked to perfection. My husband asked for medium rare and I asked for medium....we got exactly what we asked for! It was a very generous plateful so was glad I didn't go for a starter, though I was sorely tempted. We did however have room for desert! Hubby had the creme brulee which he raved about, I had two scoops of the homemade icecream (various flavours available) which again was delicious. Overall an excellent dining experience and I would recommend anyone visiting Tewkesbury to dine there (I'm sure the locals know only too well how good it is!).

L'amuse Bouche, now judged as Worcestershire's number One Dining Venue since 2016, has twice represented the county in the All England Finals for Culinary Excellence . The restaurant in aimed primarily at classical dining with an emphasis towards locally
I have been to this restaurant twice, both times have been excellent.I had tried to book here in June for my anniversary however they were full, on booking again to go last week they had remembered we had tried to book before and even decorated our table, these little touches really make you feel like a guest, not just a customer.I adore the creativity of their menu and the homely feel of the establishment. Considering the high standard of the food, it is very reasonably priced too and the staff are extremely attentive and friendly.Looking forward to our next visit already!Thank you so much for visiting, an amazing review and lovely comments. It really is much appreciated by all of us.Chris, Barbara and all the staff

We tried this place partly as it looks so beautiful. Glad we did!My macaroni cheese with cauliflower was wonderfully warming and tasty. The tea was loose leaf and served with a biscotti. My companionâs croque monsieur was huge! The service was perfect, friendly and helpful. And itâs stunning in decor! The loos are clean, but upstairs so not so good if you have mobility issues. Iâll return :-)

We dined here on Saturday evening.Upon arrival we both were surprised that we were not eating at the Eckington Manor House!!Instead we were upstairs in what felt like a garden centre cafe overlooking the car park..We chose the Dinner menu starters i had the Brassicas, Romanesco broccoli, Barkham Blue, walnut this dish was nice with nice fresh flavours a descent starter, my wife chose the Crab, cucumber, pink grapefruit, chive this was ok nothing special yes the crab was fresh but not much flavour going on just a round portion of Crab meat really could not detect the grapefruit!!!.Mains we both opted for the Lamb, loin, sweetbread, leek, Jersey Royal, goatâs curdThis dish was OK .i say OK, as my Lamb Loin was overcooked hardly pink at all bearing in mind it was so small nearly half the size of my wife's (which was cooked perfectly) i thought this dish was a bit of a cheek there was one half of a new potato on the plate a bit of veg scattered about the plate with a tiny overcooked piece of Lamb. The plates were warm alas the food was not hot.The waitress did ask if our dishes were OK.However the table next to us sent there main back as it was not cooked. 20 mins later it arrived back to him , however the rest of there party had finished there dishes. This is why i did not say anything to the waitress, as we did not wish to eat separately~~!!!! The sweet was average the wife's dish Summer fruit cheesecake, iced raspberries, berry compote was ok apart from the very sour raspberries. i had the Almond panna cotta, blueberries, milk ice cream, brittle.this was ok .For the sum of £48.00 per person it was NOT value at all. We have eaten in far better restaurants some Michelin awarded & had bigger portions i don't mean food piled high either. Just a bit more than a postage stamp size of Lamb & half of one small new potato .There is also a 10% service charge!!! (we did not pay this) We did not really get any service, no one explained the menu & we were served by 3 different waiters. Not real table service at all.....So perhaps the management should pay them a little extra rather than relying on the paying guests to prop up there wages!!We tried the Eckington Restaurant we will not be returning

Havenât been here for years (since a really disappointing meal in the past)First impression still fantastic, decor, Very spacious comfy seating, ambience etc very attentive staff. Very good menu choose for a sat lunch. Vegan and vegetarian.I had the vegan burger (beetroot based) it was ok quite a large portion for a lunch but it didnât really taste of anything just spice! with great sweet potato fryâs.But the food was incredibly salty - spent the rest of afternoon drinking Water! My other lunch companions were very happy with there meals. But this is not the cheapest of restaurants. It was Nice that they left alone here and not rushed to eat and go.

One of the very best restaurants in Worcestershire! We have always only had great meals here. The portion sizes are good, itâs difficult to leave room for desert, which is a shame because the Tiramisu is phenomenal! The staff are always very friendly, welcoming and courteous. I would highly recommend the Elgar Inn as the food is always freshly made and staff are happy to add/remove ingredients from the dishes. Perfect!

A Warm Welcome to The BoatHouse The Boat House is Worcestershire's new tapas restaurant and wine bar serving Mediterranean and British tapas dishes for lunch or evening meals. We are also open for drinks and coffees. The Boat House also boasts the best vi
The website says â The Boathouse boasts the best view in town with outside seating and balcony areas overlooking the River Severnâ which is true. But on a Sunday at 3pm we were asked to sit downstairs with no view . We asked why and they said they shut that area at that time . They relented and let us go upstairs but they would be clearing around us . We never noticed that as there were diners there already. Crazy rule, as we were leaving they were turning another couple away for same reason , downstairs was empty. Surely what your paying customer wants is important.Food was ok had cheese platter which counted as 2 tapas, cheddar very mild/ bland other ok. Beef pomegranate tasty , chicken vodka sauce ok. Very small portion of fish. Very expensive for what it was. Sweets ok 3 teeny tiny squares of cheesecake. The view is what makes this place, IF you are allowed to sit upstairs. If you want this view make sure when booking they will allow. There was plenty of room up there , most odd to not use the asset.Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us here at The Boathouse I am pleased that you were satisfied with some aspects of your meal with us I feel your review is however a little misleading to the reader .We did indeed have a table set for you on our groundfloor as you were booked between lunch and evening we usually close the first floor for 45 minutes while we clean the dining area and bar after lunch service and before a busy evening service this is not uncommon for restaurants to do.We did also offer you a table out in our groundfloor terrace which you declined however what is not made clear to the reader is that after making your opinion known we without hesitation moved your table upstairs and one of our senior team agreed to stay on an extra hour to look after you meaning we kept the first floor (120 seater restaurant) open for yourselves while a colleague continued to serve other guests in the ground floor . Our chef also stayed an extra 30 minutes to prepare your food as you had sat down to order late .I feel your review is very misleading and not at all fair assessment of your visit with us
