There was a large group of us for my mam's 60th birthday, and everything came together wonderfully. Starters and mains were lovely- no complaints. I had the kiev pizza which was lovely, and the mozzarella to start. My mam was surprised with a birthday cake which the restaurant let us eat there. Lovely evening and lovely accommodating staff. Thanks for taking the time to review our restaurant,Iâm glad that you all enjoyed your, and your mum had a great birthday day,

Hadnât been here before so was looking forward to the visit with the family my starter which were prawns were an absolute taste sensation however when it came to my main course it was extremely disappointing. I really should learn my lesson when it comes to Steak because unless you are in a Steak House rarely (no pun intended) is the steak any good and so it proved here. Ordered rare, it was on the wrong side of medium, I can accept that as long as the flavour is still good but this was bland and tasted like one of those frozen jobs a chain pub would serve. Such a shame the setting is fab the staff are fab but if you choose to eat here never order a Steak it was rankThank you so much for your constructive criticism.May I ask which might you dined with us? Just the staff are unaware of any recent complaints regarding the steaks. Our steaks are all locally sourced British cuts and are fresh not frozen. If you had mentioned to your server on the night we would have happily replaced your steak or offered you a different cut.We are glad you enjoyed your prawns and that the staff were good, hopefully we will see you again soon.Regards,Micheal Dos Santos & Anton Mydlo

Italian Restaurant in the village of Sunniside, Gateshead - near Newcastle upon Tyne. We offer a range of hot & cold starters, plus pizza, pasta, risotto, chicken, steak, fish & vegetarian dishes.
Went here with our grandkids not good at all. Pizzas were not at all nice and the waitress would have cracked her face if she smiled. I think she thought she was doing us a favour by eating there. It was much better when it was La Vera will not be going back.Hello raysF454TZ. That's such a shame you didn't enjoy your meal with us! If you have time, please email us on [email protected] with more feedback so we can learn more. Thank you. Oli and Joe's team.

Having not visited this restaurant in many years we decided to pop in and give it another try. It was a relatively quiet Tuesday night so we had no problem being seated quickly and efficiently by the friendly waitress. It's a fairly small place and has a good atmosphere, the menu was very extensive and we both chose different meals. The food was very good, tasty and well presented. The service was also very good, it's not cheap but is worth a visit.Hello Keith, weâre pleased that you have enjoyed your visit to us, and thanks for taking time to share your experience.Kind regards,Saltimbocca

Previously known as "Italia Retro Restaurant at The Board Inn"
We have eaten at this restaurant on two occasions recently, and on both occasions the food has been excellent. Each time we have arrived about 5.30pm and although not particularly busy when we arrived, the restaurant soon filed up. On our second visit we decided that the earlybird meal was inviting, so my wife went for pate' as a starter and I chose potato skins. My wife then chose stroganoff and I went for the sirloin steak with a peppercorn sauce. We both agreed that both courses were delicious, and with 2 glasses of Rose' the bill came to £41.80.which we thought was very good value. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and ambience, particularly when busy, and the staff are both jovial, and efficient. We will definately eat at The Board Inn again.

a lovely place to stay , our room was amazing. fresh and clean. and you could see that detail was taken with every little task.the housekeeper please praise and her team as our needs were met at every level. when people save up to go away and spend cash that has been put away for a treat and you get the results that you wanted then working for this treat all year round is so worth it. the poached eggs oh my gosh are cooked to perfection. the tea served is not just a pot of tea it is a reward to the mouth. try the kippers with your poached eggs, if that does not take your fancy then try the poached eggs with just toast. the butter adds delight to the toast, thank you to all members of staff. for everything. we have enjoyed getting spoiled. we now return back to work but know when we start saving up again for a treat this place Eslington Villa will be what we aim for on our next holliday. as we drive back to Manchester we take fond memories and Genuine smiles with us. thank you again to everyone. Thank you to everyone .Thank you for your kind words. We look forward to seeing you again soon :0)

A converted pub on the South Side of the main street in Birtley.Arrived for opening on Saturday lunchtime and a shame that some of the old bleach smells of pubs were hanging around.Very quiet. Happy hour menu priced higher than currently shown online. Food was good with 2 courses for £9.95. Enjoyed houmous starter whilst my Mum obviously thought she was in an Italian and went for the potato skins option they offered. Both good. Both enjoyed chicken shish mains with rice/salad plus an extra of saute potatoes. All good enough and our waitress was pleasant.

So good they named it twice! Thanks TripAdvisor and the previous reviewers, whose recommendations had convinced us to give it a try. We walked in and immediately started to enjoy the Italian restaurant experience. The service was prompt and efficient. The food was excellent and equivalent to the best meals that we have enjoyed on holidays in Italy. I don't know if they have Italian chefs employed, but they certainly understand how to create that authentic taste. We were there in the early evening and it was already very busy . The measure of a good restaurant!!!

Made our second visit to Ravello, based on the food and service, both of which were excellent first time around.Ravello didn't disappoint !Starters and main courses were superb, a very pleasant bottle of Prosecco and my wife loved her dessert ( I settled for an espresso ).Ravello is very good value and the whole ambiance etc makes it a great place to enjoy a leisurely meal in nice surroundings.Definitely our favourite Italian restaurant!
