Staff were very welcoming and friendly at cafe when we visited on Saturday. Sadly for us the wait for food and food itself let it down. We ordered a sausage sandwich and a fried egg sandwich. Took 20 - 30 minutes to arrive at table from ordering. We dont mind waiting if food is worth the wait but when we got our food, 1 egg was overcooked an the sausages weren't very hot and were overdone too. Lovely cafe, shame about the food.

Have visited here a few times for lunch and the food and drinks are always great quality with excellent service. Yesterday, three of us had afternoon tea, what a treat! We all wanted something slightly different, but nothing was too much trouble and everything was served with a smile. The staff are so friendly and everything served is delicious!Thank you so much for your lovely comments. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your Afternoon Teas with us xx

A traditional cafe but somehow the decor manages to marry up sophisticated chic with country cottage. The service is outstanding and the food delicious.
Stopped in Sandbach for alternative Motorway services. As this has a 5 score on the door we tried it. It's small, so bear this in mind if you have a buggy. Nice tea and cake. As others have said definitely more a tea shop. Convenient for the car park and a little look at the crosses.

We visited Pastimes for a quick bite, but instead stayed somewhat longer for a really nice English cooked breakfast. Everything tasted fresh and was well presented. The cafe offers a good selection of home made cakes that all looked very inviting. We went back the following week, but unfortunately found it to be closed on Mondays. Nice place to stop when visiting Jodrel Bank or Goostry village.

Visited yesterday for the first time and was well impressed. This small, intimate coffee shop is immaculately kept and run by two pleasant gentlemen who aim to please. The coffee was excellent. I didn't try the cake on offer but it all looked delicious, including the dessert cakes. Definitely a little gem worth visiting. Well done gentlemen. xxx

Pleasant cafe and deli in the centre of Holmes Chapel. Soups and sandwiches all very good, service friendly and helpful, and reasonably priced. Lunch meals menu and cake selection looked good. Not sure that having the radio playing (quietly) adds anything though.

Arriving early morning in Holmes Chapel Railway Station en route to an event near Congleton, with time in hand, I made the short walk to Cobbles for breakfast. A warm welcome from friendly staff, excellent scrambled eggs on toast and fine coffee - just the job !! I enjoyed it so much that I made time to visit again on my return trip 4 days later for afternoon coffee and a slice of superb coffee cake (and they remembered me !).A proper little gem with a regular local clientele which says it all !!
