Licenced cafe open 7 days. Monday Through Wednesday evening we are open until 8.30pm for Fish and Chip / Curry takeaway - either eat in or take out, and Thursday, Friday, Saturday we have an evening menu and are open until 9pm
Crab sandwiches in Cornwall are quite challenging. First you fail if there is any shell left in the meat. Secondly the bread and everything else has to be perfect. The crab sandwich I had was perfect. Added to that it was served in a lovely setting with a cool glass of beer.

We stopped by The Cloisters for our afternoon Cornish Cream Tea after touring the Truro Cathedral. Ambience is pure cafeteria, but the Scones and Clotted Cream were delicious, and the location was convenient to the Cathedral. Full menu is also available for those seeking lunch.

Four of us ate here twice. The sandwiches we had for lunch were excellent and the crab sandwich was a real hit. Our second visit was for a cream tea and it was really good and plentiful. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Stunning location. Super friendly owners. The building the cafe is in has huge character, partly made of an old boat. We went for lunch. The food and coffee was absolutely delicious and the view.... wow! We liked it so much we decided to go back for the Friday early evening fish and chip supper. Sadly for us a wedding party had booked it.... Lucky them! Love to go back!Thank you so much for your lovely review. It was really good to meet you. We are really glad that you enjoyed your lunch & of course the coffee âWe hope you do come back when you can! Very best wishes

My mum and I visited Fuel today and a long discussion about which eatery we wanted to visit for lunch - Falmouth isn't short or cafes/restaurants after all. Mum has the kedgeree, and I couldn't choose! Fortunately, their children's menu is awesome - choose anything from the menu and they'll do a half portion, for half the price. Brilliant for children, but even better for indecisive adults. I had a warm goats cheese salad and lasagna. Both were delicious. The staff were really friendly and the prices were reasonable - I certainly didn't feel like I'd been ripped off for the amount and quality of food we received. We agreed that Fuel had been an excellent choice!

Just thinking about our visit it making me drool! Excellent cream tea with lovely big scones, plenty of cream and jam and a big pot of tea. Have to say some of the meals other people were eating looked very good too. The place was immaculate so would not hesitate to visit again. Great location by the beautiful church and gardens.

We last ate here two years ago and this place just gets better. This is our second visit, this time as a last night together for a while as Fal Uni beckons our eldest, so what better than a visit to this excellent restaurant. Not disappointed all our meals were superb, my Spanish fish stew was absolutely magnificent full of flavours, very large indeed. The mussels were big, plump and cooked just right, whilst the falafel and chicken burgers were tasty and filling. All meals are delivered to your table in style, very nicely dressed. The service was impeccable, our main waitress was attentive and helpful. In general the place was spotless, relaxing and sits nicely on the quay side. Outside you can sit and enjoy a drink watching the boats bobbing up and down in the last of the evening sun.
