We ate there on a number of occasions during our recent holiday on Dartmoor. Warm welcome, friendly polite service, wonderful food,dog friendly not to be missed if you are anywhere near Widecombe in the moor.

Small friendly coffee shop. Good selection of teas and coffees.I had excellent cappuccino (Large cup) and my son a chai latte. Lovely cake and an enormous piece of toffee and nut tart.Packed with nuts and more than enough for 2 really,still I managed to eat it all.

We came across this teashop purely by chance. Visiting Ashburton and looking for a place to eat. We passed a few that did not seem inviting until we came upon the Studio Teashop. When inside there was a very warm welcome from the gentleman that greeted us, showed us to a table. The teashop is bijou but cosy. We had lunch which was exceptionally good. The teashop was clean and the gentleman very attentive, we were made to feel at home. If I lived in Ashburton I would be in this teashop a couple of times a week. Absolutely fabulous.Thank you so much for the fantastic review,sorry ive not thanked you sooner we have just got back from glastonbury festival,( ageing hippies i know,) lol,it was lovely to meet you and hope to see you again one day,it really is a fantastic review,Lots of love, steve and dave xx

We 'Stumbled' across this lovely cafe on the way back from a long weekend looking for a quick bite. The Coffee was excellent, Food was excellent (they don't skimp on the fillings) and the shop itself is lovely in the summer.We'll make sure we come back.

We were passing through Moretonhampstead and needed a light lunch. We went to the Gateway Tea Room. My wife chose pea mint and dill soup with cheese scone. I chose scrambled egg with smoked salmon. Both were delicious. we would certainly return.Many thanks for your review - we're pleased you dropped in, and delighted that you enjoyed your visit.

We called in for tea and cakes whilst visiting Bovey Tracey. It is situated in a lovely old Mill housing a variety of artisan craft shops. The choice and quality of their cakes is excellent. The outside terrace is lovely on a sunny day. Very friendly staff. A great place for tea on a sunny day.

Myself and a friend stopped at the copper kettle on the way home from a day on Dartmoor. The afternoon tea is lovely and great value for money. The tea room is clean and cosy and really a lovely place to be! The owner was lovely and so welcoming as well. Would love to go back when we're next in the area.

Had the absolute misfortune to witness the owner telling a very heavily pregnant lady to leave the restaurant, after they had ordered their meal, as her young child played up getting in the high chair! Yes the little girl was crying but the flustered mum was trying to control the outburst and also doing her best to try to encourage her to behave at a meal time. This poor young mother was left crying outside, shame on you, we will never visit again. What a pity neither you or your elderly clientele can remember being-young and needing support and empathy

This cafe was very nice,the seating area outside was really lovely, it was a Sunny day so sitting outside was great.The food portions were quite big and very well presented, the cream tea was delicious, the scones were so fresh and warm, the clotted cream and jam was so nice.The staff were friendly and helpful and professional.This is lovely to know. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience!
