Roovrays comes highly recommended...And a Charming and ambient evening awaits you...Tastefully decorated with a French influence due to the French Chef and owner. Great value is offered with the Early Bird menu from 6pm till 6.45pm with 2 courses being £1
You really are spoilt for quality restaurants in Mevagissy. Roovrays has a great selection on the menu, and all were beautifully cooked. Nice friendly and helpful service, good size helpings, and all tasted really fresh. We had the monkfish which we would especially recommend. We then came back another day, and the food was just as good. The place is quite small, so we would recommend you book.

Almost every Friday, my wife and I together with 2 friends, usually go to Griggs at Sticker for a late breakfast, I have the veggi option, my wife, the half breakfast and our friends much the same. Today, we decided to go somewhere else, a restaurant at Victoria, near Roche. What a mistake !! Compared with Griggs, the breakfast was poor, this will be the last time we try another restaurant. Griggs is always excellent, with the exception maybe sometimes the eggs are a little runny. Don't try anywhere else, Griggs is the BEST.Hello alanrickard. thank you for spending the time to write us a lovely review. We are pleased to hear you prefer our breakfast compared to other places. With regards to your eggs, please feel free to state your preferences when you place your order. We are always happy to accommodate. Hope to see you again soon!. King regards

On the last visit I chose duck, there was way too much sauce and it overpowered the dish.I chose fish this time and it was delicious

A beautiful hotel nestled in a secluded bay right on the edge of the sea, such a tranquil place. We stayed for one night in a sea view room, which was in a little Annex across from the main hotel, which was no problem at all, it added to the seclusion. Our room was exceptionally clean, light and airy, a lovely touch was the homemade cookies left by the tea & coffee, with fresh milk in the fridge. We were met with a very warm and friendly welcome, with a brief but informative overview of the hotel. we ate in the beautiful relaxed restaurant which overlooks the secluded cove/harbour. The food and wine was excellent, freshly cooked seasonal food served by happy attentive staff, breakfast was also served in the same restaurant, which was all fresh with a good choice of fresh fruit, yoghurt etc. Also freshly cooked full English or other hot breakfast choices again excellent quality. We will definitely be going back to this beautiful friendly hotel, itâs far too good to only visit once, oh and you get a little goodie bag when you check out.. two bottles of water and some boiled sweets for your onward journey, itâs all about the attention to detail, which is excellent, you really must pay the Lugger a visit.

A group of 17 of us went for an early evening meal. We ordered our meals before arriving so they were able to sort out our meals quickly when we arrived. They kept all our orders separate so that we could all pay individually before eating. We had chosen a variety of meals - tortellini, fish and chips, burgers etc. The service was friendly and efficient and they made sure we had everything we needed. We were also able to sit in our own area which made it even better.

Charming Traditional 14th Century Thatched Pub offering a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, together with home-cooked food using local ingredients and suppliers.
Visited this cosy pub three times whilst on holiday in Tregony. Good, honest pub grub at reasonable prices (smaller portions available). Food was tasty and well cooked and the staff friendly and helpful. A lovely mix of diners, locals and visitors, which made for a pleasant experience. Give it a try!Hi cap42, Landlady here. Many thanks for taking the time to post a review, glad to see you enjoyed your visits to us, and hope we see you again next time you come to Cornwall.

Visited here for a meal towards the end of June, based on the recommendation of our holiday cottage manager. The pub was recently under new management at the time, and were struggling with suppliers, but were very accommodating so it didn't impact our visit. The food was delicious, its a small menu and not standard pub food, but what we had was excellent! The staff were also lovely and accommodating, and we were even able to meet the resident dogs. All in all it was a great evening, and I'll visit again when I'm next in the area!

The Kings Arms is a pub restaurant.
Invited 9 of my family who live in Cornwall and Devon for Sunday lunch at Kings Arms all had different dishes and all of them said ,without prompting ,how lovely, the food was and they would come back again.Plus on top of that that the portions were huge to the extent that my wife and 2 others couldn`t eat it all.Although they still managed dessert which again were huge.I would also like to mention the staff who were brilliant because our lot arrived at different times wanted different things etc.etc.and they handled it all with a smile so thank you all at KINGS ARMS,Tregony.Thank you so much for your kind review- hope to see you and your family again very soon!!

The Cutty Sark has an informal pub style dining area on the upper level as well as more formal restaurant on the ground floor that is also available for private party hire.
I booked a table by phone and was surprised to find the Pub restaurant almost empty. We were worried whether this was because the food was not up to much but were in for a surprise. The roast lamb with vegetables we ordered was lovely and rich, very tasty.Quite a different experience from other Sunday roasts in town recently, which haven't been up to scratch one way or another, from lukewarm or uncrispy roast potatoes or swimming in gravy. We found out later that the Pub had only just restarted offering Sunday lunches.Definitely worth another visit or two.
