Today Cawdrons provided hot roast joints of ribs of beef and shoulders of pork with stuffing, roast potatoes, accompanying salads and sauces on a private boat trip for a family birthday party of 35 guests.. From start to finish the contact with Cawdron's has been excellent and the the meat was really succulent & full of flavour. The crackling was par excellence. All the staff were very helpful and obviously have real enthusiasm for what they do. We could not have been more satisfied

we arrived without a booking but accommodated straightaway we were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door . Karl greeted us and led us to a comfortable lounge while he moved some tables around to be able to seat the eight of us ,he put the tv on for the kids and made sure we were comfortable ,he brought us some iced water while we waited the few minutes to be taken to our table . Karl took our order , he was so helpful, polite and made us feel relaxed and valued nothing was too much trouble . The food was lovely and nicely presented and served by more very pleasant staff We all really enjoyed our visit and will certainly pay another visit when in the area . highly recommended .

We really enjoyed staying here the night before we picked up the boat for a holiday on the Broads. The rooms were well-appointed, nicely decorated and cosy. The setting in tradition outbuildings with their own courtyard was particularly pleasant. We arrived at a very full time on Sunday afternoon on Fathers Day and the staff were very busy in the bar and restaurant yet they (Steve and Kira) were extremely helpful and accommodating and made time for us.I am a big beer drinker and the TimothyTaylorâs Landlord was kept in good condition. The beer, food that we saw coming out and the helpfulness of the staff encouraged us to make the decision to eat there that evening as we had not made a plan prior to arriving. The food was good traditional home-made pub fare that we really enjoyed and, again, staff made an effort to accommodate us at s busy time with no booking. We finished the evening with a few pints. By this time the pub had quietened and despite, being a local pub, both staff and regulars were friendly and helpful without being intrusive so we felt comfortable staying until close.A lot of praise needs to go to the staff for their hard work and positive attitude in a variety of roles on a busy day.

Traditional Village Pub
We were recommended to go to The Swan as it was dog friendly. Our first visit was fro lunch. We were seated in the bar where there was a large tv on and music playing, but not invasive. The food was good. With this in mind we decided to have an evening meal. The bar was virtually full, the only seats left were under the tv with loud-speakers blasting out music...We could n't hear ourselves talk. We went outside - the seats at the tables were too low to eat in comfort and the other outside area had puddles of water, which was strange as it hadn't been raining. It just felt grubby and uncared for..... we left!

At The Mermaidâs Slipper we pride ourselves on delivering top quality dining using the finest local ingredients and the highest levels of service. All profits and gratuities from the restaurant are going to provide meals for some of the poorest children i
Me and my husband went in for dinner and were surprised to find an area of Stalham we'd never been before, an enchanting river side location. The Slipper is situated in a flint and brick barn and done up beautifully. An exciting menu with classics and a twist, generous portion sizes and totally flavoursome. We liked all the extras and additional touches - like the dish of dauphinoise on the side of the venison steak. Great service, relaxed atmosphere and comfortable restaurant. It has the feel of a real treat but without the inflated prices - a restaurant with ethics, using local produce, donating to charity and a place you can become a regular.Parking outside - Easy to find - We've already brooked in for Sunday lunch. Ticks all the right boxes - Recommended.Thank you for your recent review. We are delighted to hear that your dinning experience was exceptional. We look forward to welcoming you back this Sunday.

Coffee shop bistro with light bits and lunch Available for private dinners. Buffet Delivered from 6-100
This cafe, to which we were introduced, has prove a delight for light lunches, enough for several visits. The welcome is warm and friendly, the menu imaginative and the coffee is some of the best around. My wife and I love the wraps and filled baguettes so much we've promised ourselves a return visit to sample the more substantial fare, probably the omelettes. It's such a gem we're hesitant to tell too many people in case it becomes too popular (if that makes sense).
