Cosy Cafe providing home cooked hot and cold food.
Although we knew we should have reserved a table at this popular restaurant, a table was found for the three of us and we enjoyed a delicious meal served by a very friendly waitress. There is plenty of parking space and there is a small shop in the restaurant. It is essential to make a table reservation !

Went there for a meal with 2 'locals', great choice and the food was excellent, Cajun Chicken, Moroccan Lamb, and a special. Price was good considering the quality, and additionally the beer was spot-on.Highly recommended but may need to book in advance .

Brilliant country pub, decent range of ales and excellent service. Lots of tables inside and out. Menu had a good selection; pie was amazing with lots of succulent meat, lots of Vegies but over cooked chips - lovely gravy. Let down by sub-optimal sauces ( wot no Heinz). Good selection of deserts but we were all full so we didnât try. Lots of families and dogs welcome

We are a warm and welcoming country pub serving good-food and a wide range of local real ales from Coniston and Beckstones brewery. We are also vegan & vegetarian friendly. Make sure you add us to your to do list when visiting the beautiful countryside wi
Great home cooked food, the Ham was very nice, and the Cajun chicken was so good my daughter love it, it was spice without taking away from the flavour of the chicken. Place by the side of the road with a good size car park, if you are in the area and hunger head straight for the Brown Cow

Had a wonderful wedding at Irton Hall. Lovely scenic location on the edge of the Lake District. Spacious grounds, panoramic back drop photographs. The venue has 5 Peacockâs that saunter round splendidly to add a uniqueness. The wedding itself is in a self contained newly refurbished barn which catered for our 140 guests comfortably. Lovely meal, & evening reception. All was expertly orchestrated by Tom the owner & his manager Molly, nothing was too much trouble. There are also some great on site accommodation options for guests. From normal hotel rooms, that are enormous, to cottages that can house 15 people that were great for travelling families & groups of Uni friends. This is simply a fantastic venue.

Found this place by accident. Food is good and portions are a good size. We had food from the specials and the main menu all reasonably priced. All were beyond expectation. Will definitely visit again if I'm in the area

Recommended by a local B&B as a good place for a coffee and a snack and were pleasantly surprised at the wide choice on offer. Delicious home made quiche with tasty salad and home made lemon meringue pie. Were spoilt for choice with such a varied menu. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Inside and outside seating. Feels like you are in the woods with lots of dense woodland around. A real find.......

The hotel itself is listed already, but the restaurant that is part of this hotel is not listed separately.
Visited whilst on a family holiday in Ravenglass. Good location close to the Estuary & easy to park. The food was good. Much improved since our last visit several years ago. The bar had a lovely atmosphere & the local artist (whose paintings we love) had an exhibition on. Dog friendly. Clean toilets. The only reason Iâve given it a 4 is the wine list was very poor.

On the far western side of the Lake District, the 17th century Inn at Ravenglass is located right on the waterfront - where the National Park reaches the sea giving fantastic views over the estuary The Inn's bar serves a fantastic selection of real ales a

Despite the mention on the page we do NOT serve vegan food or speciality milks. Despite the mention on the page we do NOT serve vegan food or speciality milks. There is mention somewhere on the Net that we have Camper Van parking - we are afraid that this
This is a great pub in a lovely location on the station platform. The interior has a line of old railway seats right next to the platform and a pleasant garden the other side. The beer is well kept and, when they could make a fortune by fleecing tourists, everything is very good value, staff are friendly and efficient and the food is decent. I had the Cumberland sausage which was a little greasy, but still tasty. Highly recommended! Thank you so much Beeza for your brilliant review!I have been away and was unable to respond promptly to you.Your writeup really gets to the heart of what we try to achieve at the Ratty arms, ie good all-round value for money in a welcoming environment with well-kept beer. We take note of your observation about the Cumberland sausage and will look into what would have made it greasy for your visit.Very kind regards - Bev (proprietor)
