My brother and his wife came down from Reading for the weekend so we took them for Saturday lunch to La Luna along with our niece and her husband who came up from Penarth.. They were all staggered at the standard of the food. We all had the 3 course lunch menu and every course was superb.; They all said it was the best meal they'de had for a long time. Thanks must go to the amazing chefs in the kitchen and to Rhys and the lovely Tes for making my families day so special. We will all be back. Thanks once again xxThank you for your lovely review How wonderful to hear that we were able to make your day so special. Please come visit again soon

I would like to thank Claire and the management for helping myself and my family receive an absolutely amazing buffett for my mams funeral. The food was spot, there was an amazing selection of great sandwiches and different dishes. Which was freshly served and elegantly arranged. I Would highly recommend the buffet food with no hesitations. This most definitely contributed to a wonderful day.

A friendly country pub Restaurant . One minute off junction 34 on the M4, easy access and good parking at the rear of the building.
Four of us ate here last eve, had never been before, but would definitely return. You choose your food from a wide selection of fresh meat and fish, that are displayed very attractively on a huge ice filled counter, it is then cooked to order. My partner and I chose Welsh rump of lamb, which was the best I had ever tasted, tender and cooked to perfection! My son chose fillet steak and he said it was tender and his partner chose a veggie option of lasagne, she also said it was very nice. The service was excellent and we felt well looked after. It isn't cheap to eat here, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Used to visit The Ivor arms when under previous management and always had a very nice meal. Went there today for the fisrt time since bing taken over and was very disapointed. After waiting a long time for our meal it finally arrived, and did not look very appetising. My burger was burnt, our chips were not cooked properly and were barely warm, as were the fried eggs. My husband had asked for poached eggs but was thn told that the chef was cleaning the oven he poaches the ggs in so could he have fried!.. I always thought eggs were poached in water on the hob, and why would you be cleaning the oven in the middle of lunchtime serviceWill not be going back!Hi Jones19872Firstly can I thank you for visiting our pub!We have recently been taken back over by Brains which has resulted in a brand new menu, and new management, since taken over we have completely overhaled the kitchen and pub we have introduced specs and all new equipment and still having worked carried out as we speak as issues are arising with equipment which is out of our control, we have now got a very goof EHO rating of 4* which is a massive improvement of the previous 2* the old management had we are working extremely hard to get a 5* and also get a 5* in our cellar audit which will show how passionate and proud we are of our pub.I am sorry that we didn't meet you standards on your visit, our oven was being cleaned due to work being carried out on the kitchen earlier that morning which resulted in partials from the wall landing on the hob which would of been a fire hazard if not cleaned we was only able to fry eggs from a pan on the grill as the grill isn't consistent enough to boil water and is a massive H+S hazard, unfortunately this resulted in us not being able todo poached eggs but also not wanting to disappoint the customer we tried to find other solution's at the time which would work best, I am sorry for this and the last thing we want is to take anything off the menu. Again I am extremely sorry we didn't meet your expectations and can only hope you visit us again and get to experience what all the guests that leave us amazing reviews experience. Kind regards Liam Wall

I booked a vineyard tour followed by afternoon tea and it was a great experience. My friends visiting from Switzerland were interested to see the vineyard and the tour guide was really friendly and informative. It was a beautiful day and the afternoon tea was one of the best ever. Very fresh and tasty with really good scones. Would highly recommend the vineyard and will be returning to have an evening meal soon.

We had heard of this restaurant and thought we would try it for our 44th wedding anniversary. It did not disappoint, lovely food, atmosphere and friendly staff. We had homemade Tomato and Basil Soup and Whitebait for starters, both generous portions and very nice.We both chose Lamb in Redcurrant and Madeira for main, it was lovely, came with New potatoes, peas, tempura cauliflower and onion rings. The cauliflower was gorgeous and I donât eat cauliflower normally, says it all.I did try the White Chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake for dessert but I was so full I could not manage to eat it all, hubby was too full for dessert.I had 2 Glasses of Sauvignon Blanc, hubby had water as he was driving, all in all it was a lovely meal, and the price is very reasonable, will definitely be going back there.
