Been here a few times............good pub food .friendly service. Easy parking.Fantastic value ...expect 3 courses for around a tenner. Its pub food not fine dining ...but its honest decent quality food .in a nice venue with good service....great menu...and amazing value. The fact it is always busy says it all.

Located on a lovely spot overlooking the marina with all its "comings and goings", is the right spot for an outside lunch in the sunshine. We had a mixture of dishes served promptly and were delicious, unusual to have a small serving of fruit served in with the side salad and was a delight.

Right! We were working close by and it was our colleagues birthday. Looking at the food options in Pevensey, we plumped for The Moorings. Admittedly, certain cocky members of the group had to be persuaded, as they simply couldnât believe that the quality of the food would reach their exacting standards, given it was 3 courses for £10. Well, how wrong could they be! We happened upon the âSteak Saleâ which effectively made it 3 courses for £8 (or £2.66* per course!) The staff were friendly and attentive, the food came out quickly the portions plentiful and attractively presented. One of our group is exceeding annoying and finicky about his food and even he was blown away by how well cooked and piping hot the food was! The highlight for me was the dessert, a homemade salted caramel mousse. I usually like a cherry cheesecake, but this was something special. Expectations were smashed and we left The Moorings very content (stuffed) and vowing to return.

What a VERY odd experience. Having checked it out from its own website, decided to try a Friday lunch. The website said lunch would be available on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I called the relevant number.A disembodied voice answered with a vagueâHello?ââIs that Simply Seafood?ââIt isâ.âHave you a table for 2 for Friday lunch?ââWe donât do lunch. Well, we do. But not until...until...until...ââWell, your web site says you do lunchâ.âYesââSo, to be clear, your website says you serve lunch, but you actually donât?ââThatâs rightââWell, thanks. Right. ByeâI checked. It WAS the correct number.

Been frequenting this restaurant for many years, the food is unquestionably is comparable to food in Thailand itself. The service is excellent. I cannot bring to mind any dish that I would not recommend. If you are in the area of Sovereign harbour it is well worth a visit, pre-booking at weekends is worthwhile as they do get very busy.

We did not stay in the hotel but just visited the Teashop. We received a very warm welcome on entering and this continued throughout our stay. The waitress was particularly helpful, friendly and chatty. Tea was nice as were the cakes; the Genoa cake was particularly so - never had it with jam and cream inside before, maybe a little sweet for some tastes.

This bakery/cafe is just off the beach in Pevensey Bay. Inside, the decor is retro kitch without even trying! It hasn't changed for years. The food is not fancy, but freshly cooked and just what you need from a diner. There is a garden overlooking the beach. Very popular. The bread and cakes are good too!

We are a traditional village pub opposite the historic Pevensey Castle. We have a large walled beer garden, with children's play area. Stop by and have a relaxing drink, light bite or full meal in our cosy restaurant or garden. Dogs and children welcome.
This was our first meal here since the new landlord took over a few weeks ago.The decor and seating is much improved, and the service was friendly and personal. Although the menu is quite limited, we all agreed that the food was excellent and very reasonable. After a main course and drinks we ended up paying £20 a head including tip.The setting for the pub is outstanding, and I hope in time, that the menu could be expanded.

Iâm not normally into writing reviews but my meal today was to say the least gorgeous. On arriving without a booking I was made to feel so welcome. My children aged 3 & 7 had a lovely lunch and for once ate it all!! My wife chose the sea bream which was a special of the day and it was indeed very special. I opted for the roast beef and I can assure you that nothing was left on my plate .... it was also nice to have beers and ciders on tap that Iâd actually heard off ..... highly recommended by a normal family! Iâm definitely returning and will be bringing my fussy mother. Colin Etherington

Visited the Castle Cottage Tearoom after an interesting visit to the neighbouring Pevensey castle. Whilst the tearoom has some excellent inside seating we sat outside (as the weather was nice). Drinks and cakes were severed on traditional crockery. My scone was nice.
