Called for meal with wife after day in Oulton Spa. Food is fresh, tasty and just enough off it, with Lovely proper chips. Very reasonable. Lovely atmosphere and 4 real ales which a bonus. Hi Philip. Usually two for tenner get what ya pay for but here best place for it..you get plenty and homemade chips..friendly staff.drinks bit pricey ordered bottle wine either fourteen or fifteen quid..next time be glass pop.well worth a visit shall be going back

I visited Reeds restaurant for Afternoon Tea with my daughter. I booked in on a Groupon voucher and it was excellent value. The restaurant is situated in the Best Western Hotel at Pasteurâs Lodge Mexborough.It is a lovely hotel in pleasant surroundings. The Afternoon tea consisted of a selection of finger sandwiches which included ham cheese tuna and egg mayonnaise Typical English Fayre with no frills. They were delicious. There was Plain scones with clotted cream and jam and a selection of mini desserts. A small dish of tortilla chips was also provided. Additional extras were available at a small cost and we opted for the home made chips at a cost of £2.95 They were chunky and very tasty. Coffee and tea was included and refills available at no extra cost. We spent a pleasant afternoon in comfort and would go again without hesitation.

Visited today 27/04/2019 for the first time with my daughter-in-law and granddaughter we had the mad hatters afternoon teas absolutely fabulous we was overwhelmed with the choice and the food was amazing we have booked in for a Harry potters next month canât wait. Staff and service very good.

We found this cafe through trip advisor as we have exhausted most other pub/cafe options, and were quite pleasantly surprised. A quiet, albeit, unusual locale means less riff raff and a better family experience. The service was friendly and relatively quick given that the food is made to order. Good food and it was refreshing to have a menu that suggested focus on quality and not quantity (not overloaded with too many unnecessary options.) I've visited here a few times now, and I can never fault the food and the service as it's always been exceptional. I would definitely recommend it.My only issue with this pub / restaurant is the heat inside. Everytime I've been it's always been very hot, and sometimes makes it too uncomfortable to finish a meal because you're so hot.

A group of us went for a birthday meal. We went early as we have a baby, so it was quiet but as we were a large group it didnât affect the atmosphere. They were very accommodating to my child giving us toys to keep him entertained. Service was quick and the young man who was serving us although he was in training and a few things were overlooked such as not opening the wine etc he went to great lengths to make sure everything was ok for us, Iâm sure he will be great as he gets more experience. The food was outstanding. The whole group really enjoyed every course. The crab Bon bon starter and the king prawns went down a treat, I had the fillet which was lovely and there were rave reviews with the belly pork. The birthday boy was gifted a free drink which was a nice touch and they were happy to pop a sparkler we fetched into his desert and even made an Irish coffee even though it wasnât on the menu.Overall we had a lovely time and would definitely return.Thank you for choosing our venue to celebrate your special occasion. Glad we did not disappoint :)
