An award-winning Cotswold village pub in Southrop, part of Thyme (an historic Cotswold estate with hotel, cookery school, spa and a new restaurant opening in autumn 2018), the menus celebrate the ingredients and flavours of their farm and kitchen garden.
Stunning pub, beautiful interior, great menu - I wish I could have had one of everything! Very attentive staff...to begin with but unfortunately the service tailed off towards the end as they neared the end of the lunch service at 4pm.Overall, a lovely pub and great food.

The best fish and chips and food to die for. The staff are very friendly, the prices are inexpensive for a tourist town. They have a restaurant for a sit down meal or have a take away. The restaurant was spotless, and the service excellent.

Visited this establishment today drawn in by board outside promoting new chef, new menu. The lunch menu has some variation of snacks and sandwich choices, such as Brie and cranberry, crispy chicken and mango. Served on fresh granary bread with fresh salad, delicious homemade coleslaw and fries, there was nothing to fault and only praise for a very enjoyable lunch. Itâs a very smart and comfortable place, with ceiling beams and a very old open fireplace retaining sone old style character for a relaxed setting.

A welcoming country pub and restaurant with rooms set in the picturesque Cotswolds village of Kelmscott. Close to Kelmscott Manor.
I've eaten here twice with friends, and have been delighted both times. The food is delicious and beautifully presented; the service is great.Wonderful choices on the menu and will definitely go back again. The only draw back, is that it's very popular so booking advisable; and only on street parking.

Buscot is Between Lechlade and Faringdon, located near a popular lock on the Thames.
What a cracking team room near Buscot Weir. Very friendly service and fortunate enough to benefit from freshly baked scones just out of the oven with lashings of jam and clotted cream, absolutely delicious. A lovely sunny day to be able to sit in the garden, ample seating in amongst a delightful cottage garden. What more could you ask for. We'll be back!

What a joke! Wanted to take foreign friends for lovely lunch and it was such a big disappointment. Steak was dry and hard, vegetables and salads not seasoned, cottage pie looked worst than our canned dog food, ham and egg cold. The place was not that busy but we have waited for an hour... The Riverside in Lechlade is much much better!

As we walked into the kitchen we were greeted, handed a menu and told to take a seat as someone would be over to take our order. After 8mins (only one other customer) I approached the counter and ordered a coffee myself as the server seemed preoccupied on her phone. The coffee was average, there was a dirty fork as well as food debris on the floor and uncleaned tables. A couple had left leaving cups and plates on their table, we were there for a further 15mins to which these had not been cleared away. A disappointing visit to which I will not be returning. We very much appreciate your feedback. We pride ourselves on swift service & high standards especially of cleanliness. We have a no phone policy during shifts. The above sounds truly awful & very out of character. We would really appreciate it if you would be able to e-mail us directly on [email protected] with the date & approximate time of your visit so we can speak with staff member involved & ensure the above never happens again!

This was definitely the hub of the high street on a sunny Sunday morning, busy with locals, cyclists, bikers & dog walkers. We weren't in a hurry so didn't mind the relaxed service especially as it was so charming. It was worth the wait - the best scrambled eggs we've had in a while & heavenly sour dough toast. Fresh orange juice seemed a little pricey but coffees were good. Everything must be specifically cooked to order as we were unable to get a last minute change from bacon to sausage, but it didn't dent our enjoyment of the morning.HiThank you. Glad you noticed and appreciated what we all work hard to achieve. A relaxed, casual, informal atmosphere with good food and coffee to match! Thanks for taking the time to write!Rob
Where to eat Bar food in Lechlade: The Best Restaurants and Bars

This 17th century coaching inn serves good honest pub food in both our bar and dining area. We can seat up to 100 people as well as offering outdoor dining in our courtyard or down by the River Thames.
Stayed for one night in hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the evening meal. Both had the beef signature dish, excellent. Starter (whitebait) and dessert (apple crumble) just as good. Breakfast (included in our stay) also excellent. All food piping hot. Staff very friendly and helpful.
