Cafe/Bistro during the day , Italian kitchen on a evening, set in luxury surroundings, also traditional Sunday roast 12-8PM We have a beautiful cocktail bar & stunning function room which holds 110 guests We offer outside catering & cover the whole North
This restaurant/wine bar is a little gem. The quality of the food is consistently of a high standard with a great menu and the service is exceptional and very attentive. The surroundings are quirky and trendy and my particular favourites are the two open fires which gives the restaurant/bar a cosy warm inviting ambience. Emily was our waitress tonight who was on hand to attend to our requests with her lovely warm smile and was supported by the restaurant manager Karen who also was an amazing hostess check everyone was happy. Thank you for a lovely meal and helping us to wind down after a busy week.

Traditional roadside English country pub/restaurant, recently extended creating new dining areas, kitchen and toilets. 'Brewery tap' for Leamside Brewery which is housed in an adjacent building.
My wife and i had a sunday lunch recently and found it to e very nice.We arrived in the bar area around 2 ish and ordered drinks and put our name down for a table when it comes free.We sat in the dog friendly bar and got a table after about 20 mins.We went through into the restaurant area although you could eat in the bar area, approx 8 tables with real ale drinkers in positions around the bar.The menu should all three courses with starters @ £5 ish and the main course £9 and the puddings £5 ish.We ordered starters and main courses - cheesy garlic mushrooms and beef brisket. The mushrooms came and was very nice but was missing some bread for the the garlic cream. The main course when it arrived was accompanied by two fresh roast pots, freah yorkshire pudding, two slices of beef and a veg assortment arrived with two large carrots, cabbagemcauliflower cheese, mushy peas and mashed potato/turnip.Extra gravy was requested. The food was very nic especially the roasties and yorkshire puddings. The disappointment was the mash and turnip which was a bit tasteless and a small amount of cabbage between two.The svc was very efficient and friendly and the pub had a nice ambience as it was busy.Would we return - most definitely and it has real ales for beer lovers in the small bar area.Recommended.

Many years ago Lord Trevor ran the Copt Hill and now the legendary Landlord is back in the Building returning The Copt Hill Pub back to its former glory reopening the doors in May 2019 The Copt Hill Pub reopens with a fresh new look bringing a selection o
Had the strangest lunch ever!!Kofta kebab served with rice, coleslaw salad and a pita bread....sounds fine but it was served with the pitta on the bottom, then the salad and rice with the kebab on top! Pleasant enough but almost impossible to eat as not possible to cut/tear or pick up the bread without scattering rice everywhere! My friend has scampi which was reminiscent of 1970s chicken-in-basket. Both meals served with sauces/pickles in little plastic pots. OK (if strange) meal, nice staff, terrible toilets. We wonât be back!

Went for lunch with a friend. I ordered the Stackyard burger and my friend ordered the chicken Kiev. Came with homemade chips and it tasted delish. Nothing left on our plates. Really friendly staff and dogs allowed in the bar where you can eat also.

The cafe was very clean and nicely organised, it looks attractive from the outside, there is spaces to eat outside, benches on the grass and a play area for children. There is a bit of land beside the outside area where there was Shetland ponies which we spent an hour stroking and feeding grass. The staff that served us in the cafe we found wasnât very welcoming and rushed us to choose what we wanted. I tried the caramel latte for just over £2.70, a little bit pricy but I really enjoyed the coffee. On the downside I ordered the tex mex fries for £4.50 and I was disappointed when it came, they were pretty much frozen McCain fries with a dollop of guacamole, I could have made the same thing at home, it was presented nicely but not worth the money, both me and my partner had a scoop of ice cream, the scoop was tiny, the clotted cream ice cream was thick and creamy and the pineapple ice cream was sweet but unfortunately had no flavour. There is a wide range of food and drinks on the menu however this trip for us wasnât enjoyable. The farm shop and butchers was a catch, they sold a lot of items such as jams and preserves, ice cream, biscuits and cakes and ornaments/gifts. The butchers sold a wide variety from meats to pastryâs. We purchased the chicken curry pies and they were unbelievable cooked in the oven with some homemade chips, we will definitely return to the farm shop but sadly not the cafe, we feel like it is overpriced for what you received.

Small dog friendly pub located on the edge of Herrington country park serving real ales and home cooked food.
Visited twice, both on a Friday night for tapas. Can't fault the food, it was bautiful. However on both occasions terrible service. Staff were unwelcoming and unfriendly on both visits. A mistake that was made by staff was made out to be my own and i was spoken too as if I was stupid for questioning it. The mistake was still not rectifed. It appears a lovely pub for locals but as a visitor we were made to feel unwelcome. For this reason I would not visit again, despite the food being lovely.Dear FrancescaI am delighted that you like our food but I am shocked that you found our staff to be unwelcoming and unfriendly. they all work really hard to give a good experience to customers both regular and new.people generally comment on how nice the girls are

Comfortable, tasteful decor with great music playing. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and attentive. Good range of dishes at very reasonable prices.Mediterranean pasta with chicken was delicious, very tasty and piping hot from the kitchen. Cumberland curl and mash equally delicious. This came with very tasty gravy and a small amount of crispy leeks. (An extra vegetable served with this may be a good idea)Chocolate brownie with ice cream and a white chocolate and lime pie with cream were both very nice. Will definitely return
