Really really nice place, very comfortable and extremely friendly, polite staff. Food for four of us was excellent and generous size portions which stay hot throughout. Being by the seaside I plumped for the whitebait which was really tasty and homemade cherry pie to finish. Highly recommended

I have been eating here since pretty much the new ownership took over. I really like their flavours, dishes, especially their Sunday roast! It is to die for! Especially when you are lazy! :))Really good food, really nice live music evenings, great service and customer attentiveness. Will always come back and I am sure I will always enjoy my stay.

Very good air con. Much appreciated on hottest day.Coffees and teas were fine.Cake was okSandwiches were poor.Limited selection of unappealing fillings chosen from a tired paper menu.Bread was poor quality and thickly sliced. Ham was paper thin It was served with some very small bits of potato crisps and some salad bits that looked thrown together, and were coarse and inedible. Someone thought if you cut the sandwiches carelessly you can make them look classy by skewering them with a wooden stick. It doesnât work.Staff pleasant.Decor grey and gloomy.

The is a small Patisserie/Bakery/ Bistro (28 seats), serving full breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas and weekend dinners. ALL the food is made on the premises. Specialist Patisserie/Cakes and Artisan Bread. Not suitable for small children
We recently visited for lunch having had mixed experiences at this restaurant in the past. Customer service was brusque. We ordered drinks and the waiter put the cups on the table holding the rims. Not very hygienic. The wrong order was brought but it was acceptable so we said it was ok as we didnât want to eat separately whilst the right order was produced. No apology only that they would check the ticket. The ticket was duly checked but still no apology. I presume they thought I ordered something I didnât want as they seemed to take no responsibility for their error. I was unable to eat more than a third as it was mainly mayonnaise. The waiter noticed that most of the food was uneaten. I explained why. The chef would be informed. No further comment. We paid and left, never to return.

This place has many good reviews for a reason. It is good!We randomly happened across The Ship searching for something else and decided to go in for food as we couldnât be bothered to go on any further. The place lived up to its TripAdvisor reputation. The food was lovely, arrived on time, piping hot and well-cooked. Staff were pleasant and friendly and we left a 10% tip.No complaints whatsoever.

Located in the picturesque seaside town of Frinton-On-Sea, Emma's Kitchen is ideally positioned just off Connaught Avenue on a sunny, sheltered suburban street.Emma's Restaurant-Bistro serves delicious food including home baking, great breakfasts, lunch & Di
Called in on spec whilst in area on business. Emma's Kitchen beckoned me in as we passed. So glad I listened to my instincts. Lovely feel to the place, approachable and helpful staff and the food was delicious, fresh and imaginative. With no fuss at all they came up with 3 vegan options for me. I chose the vegan tasting plate which was gorgeous. Homemade seeded humus, anti pasti on a bed of leaves, carrot salad with nigella seeds, warm bread, olives and peppadew peppers. Don't walk past!!!

Went to this restaurant with my daughters and wife to celebrate my wifeâs birthday. My wife and daughters had the seafood risotto and I had the lamb rump.Had I been in a local pub the food would have been ok and probably fairly priced. However the Seafood Risotto was ok but the Lamb Rump was chewy and poorly cooked. The bill came to £144 for Main Course only, two bottles of Merlot and two glasses of white wine. Unfortunately Frinton-On-Sea does not have a lot of choice but the two times I have been to this restaurant I have been extremely disappointed with the quality of the food and exorbitant prices. I could not advise anyone go to this restaurant but rather travel further afield where you are likely to experience a better standard of cooking at a fairer price.
