A lovely setting. Staff friendly and welcoming. We'd booked for afternoon tea and spa. Afternoon tea very lovely. Swimming pool and jacuzzi great. Ladies changing area very restricted, no individual area. Showers, in need of TLC. Toilet facilities, x 2, are unisex. Grounds are amazing. Massage as expected. After experiencing many alternative spa venues, there's a need, in my opinion, to expand on the changing / toilet area - needs to be developed.

To be honest I expected more. It looks nice outside but was a little dingy coming in from the sunshine. My meal was just OK, nothing special and I actually thought for the price was rather a small portion. So, a bit of a let down on the food and ambience front but the staff were fairly friendly. On the plus side they were serving food at 5pm when other places were not serving til 6pm which is a real advantage to them as many people like to eat early or have to sometimes.Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review on our hotel. Firstly, I would like to apologise for the shortcomings in standards and service you experienced at The Roebuck and I can assure you the above comments have been taken on board. Kind Regards, Karen Perrin

Our elegant, contemporary dining room with its floating âumbrellaâ roof and frameless floor-to-ceiling glazing, is intended to âbring the outside inâ, providing guests with a spectacular, uninterrupted view of the gardens, while a carefully crafted interi
Impeccable service, being escorted to & from the gardens and restaurant and well paced fine dining with some delicious food. The quality and finesse was evident on all courses and the clever new dining area makes you feel part of the garden for a special experience. This is a historic garden, carefully maintained and densely planted to very high standard which gives interest all year and a unique, secluded and relaxed environment for a high class hotel and restaurant.

Relax and enjoy a well presented, good quality meal in comfortable surroundings. We specialise in using local produce and source from local suppliers. Extensive drinks menu, with draught ales, fine wines all served by our welcoming staff.
We had two breakfasts and evening meals while staying at the hotel. On all occasions the staff were attentive, the food very good. When we stay in the area again we would certainly eat here again.

Another visit, another Sunday roast, another success. A relatively new barman/manager and head chef and if possible the food and general quality of service has improved even more. It's always been one of the best pubs we've visited but this last visit was possibly the best yet! Very generous portions of the nicest roast beef you'll find anywhere with a substantial splash of gravy and all the trimmings. A must visit if you're in the area.

Coffee good and food looked good. We would have tried some but when we asked if pastries were available we were told no and no mention was made of the cookies, flapjacks etc that we saw after we had drunk our coffee. Lost sales and very grumpy unfriendly service.Hi PaulaTerribly sorry that you had a poor experience. We have just taken over the cafe and would really like to welcome you back for better and more attentive service. Just ask for Andrew when you come in so I can introduce myself.Look forward to seeing you!Andrew

My daughter & I stumbled upon this little cafe whilst out for the day. The food was very good, fresh & great quality-ingredients used Friendly staff. Would absolutely recommend. And will certainly come back if we visit again I'm glad you enjoyed the food at Coco's. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and for the recommendation. My 3 friends and I visited Maria's cafe on Monday lunchtime this week. Two of us had been there before so we booked a table, which was good thinking, as it was very busy, and we wouldn't have got a table otherwise.I ordered chicken and bacon on sourdough toast with a salad, and my friends had quiche, roasted vegetables with salad and pate. All our meals were delicious and the portions were generous. This was followed by tea, coffee and a selection of cakes. Our bill was £15 each, including a tip, which we thought was good value for money. I would certainly go there again when in the area.

Everyone was very friendly, the atmosphere was really nice. The food was very good and the complimentary soup cup they give is amazing I loved it!! The only thing I could say is my sea bass dish was a little bit over flavoursome, I know that sounds silly but I have nearly finished two drinks just due to it being so strong however the sea bass itself is amazing, itâs only the sauces with the risotto thatâs quiet strong.
