Known as one of the best Staines traditional pubs in the area, we are set in the heart of the picturesque, historic village of Church Street, Staines Upon Thames. The Bells pub in Staines is a hidden gem, plus being a stone throw away from the River Thame
Visited here for Sunday lunch, we were late and the kitchen closed in 10 minutes, but the staff were overly friendly, got us seated and promptly took our order for two Roast Beef Dinners. The food arrived promptly, large portions and a nice helping of meat. We asked for a couple of sauces and extra gravy, all of which arrived promptly. The food was super tasty, great roast potatoes and we were asked by numerous different people, if everything was ok. We didnât have room for dessert but were very impressed with the quality of food and service. Great pub, and we will definetly visit again if in the area.

The Red Lion recently (March 2014) completed a £350,000 refurbishment and now offers a fantastic pub/restaurant option in the heart of Egham town centre. In addition to our two regular real ales (Harvey's, Sussex Best & Purity's Mad Goose)we offer an ever
Good pub food, very pleasant, friendly welcome of which we dined in the restaurant.Busy place as locals were watching the Chelsea football match on the TV's inside and in the covered garden.Good selection of local beers, decent enough menu and good value for money, enjoyable experience.Hi -- thank you for your review. I'm really pleased that you enjoyed your food and drink at The Red Lion and i hope that you will visit us again when next in Egham.

Its hard to believe that Bar 163 has been in Egham since 1984. More than twenty years on, 163 looks and feels as fresh as ever and continues to attract a varied crowd of young and not so young, professionals and students alike. Originally a bar with fo
I used to live in Egham and Bar 163 was our favourite place to go - that was around 20 years ago. Met my friend their for lunch this week and was so delighted that the standard of food hadn't dropped - if anything it was better. The staff were excellent. Still the same quirky decor and vibe in there which I love. Well done, Bar 163 - I will be back very soon!!That's quite a gap, not sure how we've kept it up, although that could be why I'm feeling so exhausted...Great that you came back, and that you enjoyed it so much, thanks for the wonderful review, hope to see you sooner.

The Lock Bar & Kitchen located on the banks of the River Thames right beside the 'Bell Weir Lock' offers a sense of occasion without pretence, in a relaxed and informal setting, perfect to enjoy with friends and family. Expect home style cooking with dish
The staff here are fantastic, so attentive and nothing is to much trouble, we came for lunch and had beetroot salads starter, fish and chips and salted caramel tart with praline macaroon. They do a wonderful elderflower with mint, lemon and lime drink which Is so refreshing. Food here is always good with a lovely environment right on the Thames.Thank you for your great review of the Runnymede on Thames. I am pleased that you found the team fantastic, the service great and the food and environment good.We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.Kind regardsCraig SpencerResident / Guest Relations Manager

This pub sits within a residential area, so, it was harder to find. But, it was a real gem of a pub. It is a big pub with plenty of parking spaces, on-site and on the road. The staff are friendly and provided table services. We were a party of 8, from ordering to food being delivered, it was quick and appetising service. Food was so mouth-watering tasty and delicious. We sat out in the garden, which I imagine would be a party place at night, with all lights. It would be a good place for BBQ food and TV. is setup in the garden, with gazebo, heater and blankets. The pub is kids and family friendly. Love it a lot.Thank you for the review, since your visit we have updated the garden and think you would approve! it includes covered area and even more fairy lights. We look forward to hosting your next company meal out.

Great Fosters offers one of the most beautiful locations for afternoon tea in Surrey. Indulge in the most English of traditions whilst enjoying the view over the hotel's 50 acres of gardens or in the winter months sink into a comfortable sofa in front of
We booked afternoon tea for my Moms birthday and it was a very disappointing experience and most definitely the worst service at afternoon tea that I've ever had. My sister booked dairy free for hers but they claimed to know nothing about it when we got there. Rather than sorting it out efficiently, they made a big fuss about it and said they couldn't do any sandwiches so she needed to order off the main sandwich menu! This whole thing took a lot of time so we were left with our afternoon tea for a good 30 mins while they sorted hers out. It made the whole thing really awkward for my sister who didn't want to make a fuss. I spoke to the manager who just kept repeating that they hadnt received the request for dairy free and so it wasnt their fault. Eventually he agreed to give my sister her afternoon tea free but then charged her for a sandwich! Apart from that, we waited ages to be offered any drinks and the service was overall very poor. I definitely won't be returning despite the hotel and gardens being beautiful.Dear Lovetravelling2345Thank you for your review. I am very sorry about the experience you have had. We are taking any dietary requests and needs incredibly serious and are able to cater for them and do our utmost to accommodate last minute changes. Please do feel free to contact me directly so I may look into the bookings. With kind regardsSandra MuellerGeneral Manager

The Estate Grill is our contemporary restaurant, which is a reflection of our commitment to providing locally sourced, simple dishes. Executive Chef, Rob Chasteauneuf, has a straightforward and honest approach to food and enjoys experiencing new dining co
Four of us were dining in the estate grill and were really looking forward to a culinary delight judging by the prices. The soup of the day tasted like it had just come out of a tin, I ordered a side of french fries and when they arrived they were done to a crisp and you couldnât get a fork in without them snapping to pieces. I didnât say anything as I didnât want to embarrass my fellow diners, but then my two friends received their order of Salmon on a bed of Sagaloo and the salmon was overdone or had been sitting under a hot plate and you literally couldnât get your fork onto the rock hard potato cubes that were part of the sagaloo on both dishes. We did tell the waitress about it and she came back and said that the Chef said that the dish was as it should be! We were offered a replacement but by then the other two diners were uncomfortably half way through there main meal so they decided not to re order and went without. We Were all feeling very deflated about the whole evening and passed on the desserts. When we asked for the bill, no attempt was made to reduce the price of what we had ordered apart from the two meals that we sent back and no attempt was made to reconcile the disastrous service that we had received. We will vote with our feet and not return. Very Disappointing.Dear steveboolThank you for your feedback. I am very sorry that you and your fellow diners did not enjoy your meal. Perhaps you can get in touch with us directly, so we may look into your reservation. The soup is made fresh, in fact we are using a lot of our garden produce in our soups. At Leftbank there are stunning views of the River Thames from wherever you're dining. Linger over gorgeous seasonal food all freshly cooked and served buffet-style so you can help yourself to a little bit of this, a lot of that...you can tuck into three,
Excellent setting and service. Visited for family birthday. Thought buffet style would be great for variety of tastes but disappointed that there was no plain meat e.g. ham or prawns on the starters buffet. Everything was in sauce or a dressing which didn't suit our fussy eaters. Also the beef main was smothered in a mustard coating. Good if you like "made up" food and excellent veggie options. If you prefer plain meats and fish not ideal. Quite expensive for children who eat little, £16 per child.Thank you for your review of the Leftbank Restaurant at the Runnymede on Thames. I am sorry that you were disappointed in the starter buffet but enjoyed the excellent veggie options. Our starters usually receive very high praise and even âfussy eatersâ normally find something to their liking. We do conduct regular market research and find our prices competitive within the 4* hotel market in the area. My apologies if this was not your perception. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.Kind regardsCraig SpencerResident / Guest Relations Manager

First awarded a Michelin star in October 2016 & 4 rosettes by The AA in 2018, The Tudor Room is a richly decorated dining room, boasting silk lined walls and a dominant seventeenth century tapestry. With just 8 tables, The Tudor Room offers a tasting menu
Having stayed at the property before many years ago we booked a special package for D,B&B for my husbands Birthday & Our Anniversary. The Tudor room wasnât available previously and as weâre keen foodies we really wanted to give this place a try. The whole experience was wonderful, we started in the bar with G&Tâs and were escorted through to the beautiful room, where thankfully the decoration has not been modernised like other parts of the hotel. The menu is a seven course taster menu where you get an option on a number of courses and we were very happy with the choices (sometimes with taster menus this is not the case). What is good is that the restaurant offers ½ bottles of wine which as I only drink White and my Husband loves Red meant we could each indulge without worrying about having to finish the whole bottle. Not once did we have to fill up our own glasses and our water glasses were topped up continually throughout the evening. Each dish was explained as it was presented to us, the service and food was exceptional. The highlight of our stay.Dear Boho1979Thank you for your review and congratulations on your birthday and anniversary! I am delighted that you thoroughly enjoyed your meal and the experience overall. I loo forward welcoming you back soon again. With kind regardsSandra MuellerGeneral Manager
