Stopped off today and we had a lovely visit. Sat inside as quite breezy but nice tables outside. Perfect if you have a dog. Food really lovely- took a little while to come but so fresh and delicious it was so well worth waiting. Lovely young girls all working so hard. Fantastic choice on menu and good pricing. The breakfast sandwich - egg and mushroom one of best ever - bread so fresh. Latte lovely too.Really nice setting - peaceful. Good free parking. Do visit

Following a business meeting in the area I decided to book dinner for my clients. I am so pleased I chose The White Bear.There was a warm greeting the moment we entered the building and this hospitality extended through the entire evening.Itâs rare to find a venue which exceeds expectation and this certainly did.The atmosphere was just perfect.From the great food and service through the great range of beers , wines and a lovely log fire.My clients and I had a great evening and if I am ever in the area again I will definitely go back.Thanks to all the staff for the hard work and making us feel very much at home.Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. Arrived at 7.30 last night, food finally arrived at 9pm. When it did the burgers were cold and chips were solid. Not expecting gourmet cuisine but how difficult is it to serve a hot burger and chips! You really let yourselves down. 2 out of the 8 of us were happy with their meals. Will not be back

Amazing cafe. All the staff are so friendly and good at what they do. Very busy but efficiently managed. The food is high quality and delicious. There is literally nothing that this place could do to better itself in my opinion, it is just that good at what it does. Very highly recommend trying it out, you could not possibly regret it. Went for a friends birthday celebration, food was absolutely delicious, 4 of us had sirloin, 2 had chickpea curry and one had ribs, not a single complaint from one of us! Very good quality ingredients. Waiting staff were equally magnificent, didnât once have to wait for a drink or anything else for that matter they really were in the ball! Fantastic night was had by all. Would have no hesitation in recommending

Yesterday was our 50th wedding anniversary and due to health reasons, we werenât able to go out. The lovely staff at Friends restaurant made an exception and provided us with a delicious meal at home. Five star service. Five star food. Many thanks Maria and the team.

The fish and chips here are excellent. Just about everything cooked to order and with so popular that your food is always going to be fresh. We have tried the cod, scampi, sausages and chicken at various times and everything was of great quality. The portions are large and so you will never be left feeling hungry. If you are in the area definitely give the Ideal Fish Bar a try.
