Fantastic community pub serving good value, fresh and tasty food and excellent beers. We have a good selection of wines and spirits. The pub is dog friendly and is a great stop off for walkers and visitors to the area
Yet again another pub which didnât deliver on its appearance, or menu.Took over 45 minutes on a reasonably quiet Saturday for two cold sandwiches, which were average at best, and a portion of fries, which werenât cooked properly.Friendly reception though, and the beer was nice...Dear RichardPlease accept my sincere apologies you were not entirely happy with your visit. I find it incredibly hard to believe it took 45 minutes for 2 sandwiches to arrive and if this is the case I am very sorry. If there are any ways I could make my cold sandwiches less average I would be happy to listen and learn. Please feel free to contact me at the pub directly on 01663 765563 to discuss further if needed. If your dis satisfaction was mentioned whilst you were here I would have been more than happy to rectify with a good will gesture at the time rather than resorting to trip advisor. Customer service is the most important aspect to myself and my whole team and I again offer my sincere apologies your visit was anything less than 5 starsKindest RegardsChris

Visiting friends in Whaley Bridge on the week of the dam crisis. WB had just opened on the day we visited and so the owner apologised for the reduced menu. We were amazed how much was still available and what a great meal we had, in the circumstances! I enjoyed calamari followed by the duck. Super!!Thanks, weâll be back!

Tried the falafel on pitta with hummus and 'tabbouleh salad.' Unfortunately the falafel was the driest I have ever eaten, the couscous was bland and flavourless with big clumps in the middle of it. The whole dish was extremely dry with a limp salad also with no seasoning or flavour. Plain cooked chick peas with a smidgen of grated carrot. Buy a large drink if you order this dish. Disappointed! Serious suggestion, try a few herbs, some coriander, spices, anything...

We were left disapointed by our evening meal, Our group had looked forward to eating out at this restaurant as it had been recommended Service could be vastly improved.Timings were all over late serving and very sparadic, Food qualityt the fish dishes were all fresh and pleasantly presented but could have had more seasoning..Overall the dishes were of reasonable standard and would retun.

This is a nice pub with a good restaurant. As well as some light lunch time snacks the restaurant provides good quality food with fish being predominant. Many of the fish dishes are unusual but those we sampled on our visit as a group of four were all very tasty. This is a premium restaurant and the price of dishes reflect this. Expect to pay £35+ per person for two courses including a drink and tip.

The Ramâs Head is a great destination for lunch, dinner, or drinks. Step inside and youâll find stylish and traditional interiors, a chic bar space, a unique dining area, and a lovely outdoor space that offers the ultimate retreat on a summerâs day. If yo

My fiancé and I decided last minute to visit the Crown for a meal on Sunday. It is almost thirty years since I have been to the crown and obviously there have been changes! We were attracted by the fact that it is very dog friendly. Our meal and the service with it were outstanding!!!!!I had the Barnsley chop which was cooked to perfection served with root vegetables and hassleback potatoâs and a mini pot of minted gravy! My mouth is watering just thinking of it!My fiancé had the fish pie which was equally delicious. The service was faultless and the place has a homely atmosphere and the locals were very friendly. We would not hesitate to return!Cheryl

Traditional British pub serving homemade quality food and drinks. Robinsonâs ale and a large gin selection available. Dog, child, and rambler friendly.
We had a warm welcome at the White Horse. Friendly staf and clients. A typical pub menu with home cooked food. I had the steak and ale pie, really good for a winters day. You could tell it was home made with plenty of filling.

I really like this place. Always good. What a shame when a post walk visit for coffee...Drinks and cake met with incredibly indifferent service. Waiting for close to five minutes on a quietSunday with two behind the bar. Genuine advice; just acknowledge the person waiting and say " I will be with you in just a moment" makes a big difference. Will ne back but please do the basics better!
