Pop in every couple of weeks and called in midweek for a meal, three mains ordered, came quickly and enjoyed. Ordered three deserts, jam sponge, treacle sponge and the passion fruit cheesecake off the specials board. Cheesecake came out first and soon as the wife dug in with her spoon it was evident that it was frozen. When the other two deserts came out we politely told the waitress of the problem, she apologised and removed the cheesecake only to bring it back moments later with the answer "he says that's how it comes".Cheesecake should not be served frozen so was very disappointed.They are freezer to table desserts for convenience, the girl was right. Everyone who has had them lives them. But Clearly they are not for everyone.Glad you enjoyed everything else, but because of a dessert that wasnât to your taste you only think we deserve a 3.

Called in for coffee and cake mid Sunday morning. Good selection of cakes. We selected scones which were excellent. Staff very efficient. Plenty of free parking too.

Been here on numerous occasions food has always been very good. Usual pub type menu but home cooked fresh food not the usual microwave rubbish. Mains and deserts are all good value great choice of beers and ciders. They have diffrrent beers in the bar to the lounge so check both sides. Would recommend nice village pub friendly locals.

Visited for Valentines Day meal along with another couple of friends and had the most delicious meal. ~Starting with calamari followed by the best lamb dish I have had for a long time, it was so tender and tasty with lots of freshly cooked veg. Finished with a strawberry and champagne dessert which again was delicious. Service was good the only thing about this restaurant is the tables are very close together but apart from that I would certainly recommend it. Will be going again.

Visited in a party of 107 out of 10 meals were inedibleScampi rock hard,jacket potatoes overcooked in a microwave, no butter,peas inedible,steak very poor quality.all in all...will never eat there again.did complain and sent lots back,but more or less told the chef takes no notice..I use the term chef loosely.the prices have gone up here,we all used to go for family celebrations,but no more,plenty of other places that the food and service will be better.Thank you for letting us know about your recent visit to our pub, and I'm really sorry that we've not been able to give you a great experience. Had Sunday lunch here over six times and food always been gorgeous. We had the slow cooked roast beef which comes in a huge serving dish with roasted veggies and giant Yorkshire puddings. Extra veg and jugs of tasty gravy brought to you as well.Huge choice of fabulous deserts Inc cheesecake sticky toffee pud lemon tart Eton mess all included in the bargain price of 12 pounds adults kids half price. Even get tea or coffee. Service was excellent as usual. There were 4 adults 4 kids and we all loved it. Definitely be back thanks Lazaat .

Had not been here for a number of years and were looking for somewhere to have lunch for my Dadâs 90th birthday. The place was light and airy and plenty of room between tables. It was quite noisy as it was very busy. The food we had was very good and tasty. The sweets were very nice and not too stodgy. We will certainly be eating here again.

Driving past on a miserable wet Saturday afternoon myself and my partner decided to stop off for dinner, got to say the staff were excellent from been greeted at the entrance to been shown to a table and our table waiter was excellent..faultless service, great atmosphere food arrived timely and the food was excellent, we will certainly return great job all round.

Recently visited this cafe and it was actually perfect. The service was impeccable and they made us feel welcome. The coffee was great and plentiful. However the food, oh my, the food was incredible for such a small establishment. The menu and its items were put together carefully and brilliantly and was perfectly cooked. We have already planned to come back another day later in the evening for the live music and a few drinks. An absolute gem of a cafe and perfect hosts.

Have read that these are really good fish & chips, finally managed to try them for the first time today. Can honestly say they were really yummy. Great value for monâ¸ey to feed my family.The chips were perfect, no bad bits like other chips shops, cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning.Thank you for the complimentary tomato sauce, chip spice and vinegar, a great addition to our meal.
