A pleasant pub, serving good meals at competitive prices, there is also the salad bar to help yourself to this makes a good starter. The staff are friendly, and the service is good.If you drink bitter then you can only get this in bottles, as Doombar has recently been taken off the beverages list. Also the car park has NPR (number plate recognition cameras) so ensure you book your car in when you enter the restaurant, failure to do so will cost you £50 for unauthorised parking.Dear Phil,Thank you very much for your lovely feedback and I am glad to see you enjoyed our lovely salad bar. We did take the Doombar out of our drinks offer unfortunately but as an alternative we have the Marston 61 Deep on draught and some bottled alternatives from Adnams. We also launched a brand new menu this week so feel free to try some of our new exciting dishes the next time you are in.Kind regards,Harvester Wheatsheaf Coleshill

Celebrated a family 50th party in the Cast Iron Grill whilst staying at the Marriott Hotel. The staff were fantastic, smiling, happy and very accommodating to our needs. All nine meals came out together and all were hot and very well cooked and presented. I would definitely come here again. Good food and fantastic staff.

Live quite close to here, but had not tried since take over. Was not disappointed with the food at all. We both had the roast beef wrap. Absolutely delicious. And at two for £10, well worth it. Only one member of staff behind bar, also serving food, but this was ok as very quiet, she was friendly. Only down side was price of our drinks, we both had blackcurrant cordial, not with soda just plain water and was charged £1.50 each. Other pubs we've been to only charge 30/50pence, previously the most was 90p which I thought was high. Needless to say we only had one drink.

Amazing value for a special meal for 8 of us. All three courses were good, the Stilton mushrooms, pate , lamb with roasted vegetables, steaks and gorgeous cheesecake and cheese board! Couldn't fault it. Great pity there were so few in . Louise and team are working so hard. Give it a try!!!

Was slightly concerned that the restaurant was located in a shopping centre, but from the minute you walked inside you could have been anywhere. Delivered nothing less than youâd expect from a first class restaurant. Polite, efficient and knowledgeable service. Good menu and wine choice and first rate food. If youâre a foodie, Iâd definitely recommend.

Warm welcoming newly renovated pub. Serving traditional and gastro pub style dishes and some Greek style kebabs and traditional English classics using locally sourced produce from local farms and suppliers to suit all tastes and vast array of drinks inclu
We really are fortunate to live in the area enabling us to visit bubbles often having many fantastic meals or just having a few drinks. The manager Jordon with his team (especially Guy) have turned this old 15 century pub around into a fantastic bistro pub by working really hard, which the many previous landlords over the years have failed too achieve. Basically a nice couples night out with good value for money. Why not judge for yourself you wonât be disappointed. Keep up the excellent work team,.Thank you Jayne and Dave

The Plough Inn is a family run country pub & restaurant. Built in 1790 the building retains much of the original charm, its low ceilings and nooks and crannies give this pub oodles of character. Here you will find a warm welcome from friendly staff and lo
Booked a table for 7.00pm, arrived 7.05pm. We were shown to our seat and given menus - then we waited. No one came to us for 15 minutes, then we were able to order drinks. Finally, at 7.30pm, we asked if we could order food but were told that we couldn't as there was a back up in the kitchen and so we would have to wait! We said that the management should have booked the tables to allow for the chef to cook at his pace. We noticed another coulple come in at 7.35pm, they sat down and were given menus. Within 5 minutes another waitress took their drinks order AND their food order! We were still sitting there after 40 minutes of arriving and been told we couldn't order!! We were furious and said to the waitress that it wasn't acceptable. The couple told us they hadn't even booked and had just walked in on the off chance!! We complained that we should be served first and the chef should make a special effort to get our meals done first. Suddenly the couple were served their food. We were on the point of walking out when ours arrived. The mushrooms were fine but the sweet potato and butternut squash soup was so packed with chilli that it was inedible. My husband had specifically ordered the soup as he can't eat spicy food and assumed it would be bland. Having been there for 1.5 hours we had our main courses which were average, again being served second to the neighbouring couple! A no point did the management come to apologise until the time for payment. Yes, they discounted the price but it's just not good enough. We blame the management entirely - staff were undertrained, couldn't even operate the card machine without direction from us, people were being shown to their tables by I don't know how many waitresses, there was no communication as to who had booked and who should be served first. It's normal that if you just turn up, you are told that you will be served but that you will have to wait - not here. Just walk in off the street and you're on to a winner!!Hi Elaine,We are really sorry that you had such a bad experience with us - We are extremely proud of our busy little pub, and i can assure you that we will take action on this complaint and move forward with our staff training. Unfortunately during this time of year we do have new starters, and yes your server was still in training. In these situations we like to think of it as a positive and get them to improve on their waitressing / customer service skills from these feedbacks. But we will go through each point in your review, sit down with all our members of staff, and make sure that this is seen to and dealt with accordingly. And make sure that our staffs training is continuously continued, maintained and monitored daily. As for the card machine, its signal is very temperamental with our location and we do struggle sometimes with our transactions. Again we are really sorry that this has added to your bad time with us, but unfortunately the signal isn't anything that we can control - but i have been in such with our card terminal supplier, and they have reset our terminal settings, so fingers crossed everything will run slightly smoother from now on.Friday nights can be one of our busiest periods unfortunately, but we are sorry that you felt that tables around received better service from us and we are extremely sorry for your experience with us - i can assure you that we run a professional, high standard pub and restaurant, please allow us to show you otherwise. If you could please email us on [email protected] to sort this out.Thank you for the review, we will take it on board.Kind regards,Management Team @ The Plough

Popped in for lunch with my daughter, our first time and my last. Walked in and there was no greeting by the manager he just completely ignored us. We had to find our own food menus. Tables were sticky and not clean. We order some food which was ok but we ordered a baguette and and we got steak instead. The service was shocking we didn't get asked if everything was ok. The manager never smiled, never really communicated with us. Lovely little pub though doesn't suit the decor it's got, such a shame as it could be amazing with a little bit of love and staff who care.

We booked for our anniversary meal and arrived at 7.30 to the usual buzzy atmosphere. Service was friendly and swift as usual. The starters - the healthy salad and chilli beef salad were particularly good. The mains were good but not as impressive as the starters - the chicken was moist and the pie was very tasty with great gravy although some of the meat in it was a little overcooked. We shared the lemon tart which was lovely. We do really like it here and think it is important to support family businesses like this who try very hard against the chains to offer something individual.Hi David and Mel,Thank you for supporting our family business and we are glad that you enjoyed your anniversary meal. Kind regards,The Platform Three Team
