Near on perfect establishment and very well run by friendly professional staff. Big choice of food including great fish and meat dishes ( best ribs in Wales!!) A couple of weeks ago we made a last minute decision to have lunch as two retired couples at The Woodlands Tavern . From the spotless Tavern itself to the warm and friendly welcome from the staff and the lady owner we had a very enjoyable lunch time . A good choice of beers some local and a very good value lunchtime meal , I think around 13 pounds for 2 courses and 16 for 3 it was a varied choice and was served hot and good quality . Even the fellow guests who were regular visitors were entertaining . The whole experience was highly professional from the Taverns part, as someone who was in the restaurant business I was very impressed with the whole time we spent there . Just to mention the toilets , this is in most cases a reflection of any catering establishment , these are spotless , smell less like going to our own home . Well done all of you , we will God willing look forward to our return visit . Excellent thank you all of you .

Went in for a couple of drinks on a Saturday evening , fairly early on. Entry from main street straight into large, bare floor boarded bar with the serving area slightly to your left front. Away at the other end a fireplace with a wood burning stove, a few tables & chairs & a sofa or two. There are a couple of tables by the window in the serving end & some bar stools. We sat on these as all the other seating was occupied. There is quite a lot of standing space around the middle area of the bar. A band was setting up at the fireplace end which reduced the seating availability a bit.It seems music is on Saturday, Sunday & Monday. Reasonable choice of ales & some quirkily named ciders. Friendly enough staff & suprisingly cheap drinks- for us at least, being used to Home Counties prices. Pub became more busy as 9 pm approached- start of music. The front door remained open all the time, a practise of which I am not fond , especially on fresh Spring evenings. I would be wary of turning up too late here if you don't like standing whilst drinkiing. The pub is right by Chepstow Castle & next to a large car park. Did'nt eat or stay here so cannot comment on those facilities.Believe there is a garden out the back. Also dog friendly inside, which is a bonus.

I arrived at the two rivers pub due to a recommendation. And Iâm saying now I will not be returning, they ran out of Pepsi and the bottle as-well as the lemonade! There was no table service ordering food which was no bother. The staff looked miserable an stressed due to lacking of staff (as one member of staff said) The problem was waiting nearly an hour for food and it serving literally just above cold! The people I went with finished their food before mine was even served even though it was on the same table just paid separately. Itâs quite difficult with an autistic child to waiting for that long period of times So disappointing! So very disappointing indeed and we are very sorry to have let you down during your visit! Unfortunately we were short staffed due to sickness and that will always be tricky on a busy Sunday lunch for us. In regards to pepsi max and lemonade we had plenty of both but due to a part breaking off from our gas cylinders it had left us with a leak and therefore ran out but a lovely local business delivered gas to us and we were fixed within the hour! Iâm sure these shortfalls were a one off and Iâm positive we can restore your faith. Many thanks General Manager

We are a boutique restaurant and cocktail bar located in the historic town of Chepstow on the border between Wales and England serving a comprehensive range of contemporary Italian dishes for your enjoyment. We deliberately use local fresh produce wheneve
Una Vita has an interesting menu of classic Italian dishes very well prepared at reasonable cost for the outstanding quality. Wine list is short but has some great choices. We had dinner on a Saturday night - the restaurant was full and extremely lively and noisy with a younger crowd having a good time. The food was amongst the best Italian that I've had in the UK...particularly the desserts which for once truly tasted "home-made"Grazie, thank you very much. We hope you will be coming back soon.

Down by the river, this undistinguished looking place is easy to pass by. That would be a pity, as it does some decent tapas. We had the crab cakes (very good), chilli prawns (excellent), pork balls (lovely), goatâs cheese bruschetta (alright, but a little sparse with the cheese), salt cod and chorizo something or other (tasty, but a little too salty) and squid (the worst of the dishes, as it was rubbery).Fantastic coffees and friendly service.Far more on the menu for those who donât want tapas as well.

I will admit I only went in for coffee & a cake following a day out in Chepstow on the train. Its Ok but I must be out on cinque with the everyone else because I don't understand where all the 5 out of 5 scores come from.It is a small part of the station building on Chepstow station. It was clean & the lady serving was polite & helpful. The coffee was ok, but I have had better. I had the only type of cake that was available which was a homemade flapjack, which fell apart when I picked it up & made it very difficult to eat.I go out a lot & write lots of reviews & I write them as I see it. On the strength of 1 visit would I call again, no, but I accept I am in the minority & everyone else seems to love it.Hi Diddy,Thank you for your review,May i start by saying our homemade flapjack is a sell out, Its not your rock hard stuff you by in supermarkets that you can hardly get your teeth in to.All our customers love it so we will continue to make it the way we do.., We also are not a coffee shop ,We are a traditional cafe serving home cooked meals, Allday breakfast, 99.9% of our customers love it , Sorry you were slightly disappointed ,but sometimes we cant always please everyone.
