Attended for Sunday carvary - very busy but they set us up a table specially. Might be worth booking table if your thinking of popping in. Good range of local ales and beers on tap. Really good home cooked food and really friendly staff.

The menu does not change much, but the proprietors did a few years ago. Reliable, consistent, friendly. We have been many times and are not let down.

Situated on the B1062 between Beccles and Bunga, The Tally Ho Tearooms is a Victorian style Tearooms serving light lunches and Afternoon Teas - All Day!
Tally Ho Tearooms are like stepping into the 1950s - in a good way! A lovely, old, wonky, wooden-beamed building, plenty of space (tables are not squashed together), prettily decorated tables and friendly, attentive staff make it feel like a real treat - even if you have only stopped for a cuppa and a scone.I have now earmarked this place as a place I would take my mother for an extra special treat - and next time, I might well go for one of the far more involved 'teas' on offer.Thank you for your kind words. We look forward to seeing you and your mother in the future.

Open 7 days a week serving freshly prepared meals. Everything HOMEMADE and no Freezer or Microwave insight. Daily specials and booking is advisable, as there doesn't seem to be a pattern to when we are busy!
Ordered a Black coffee and a Diet Coke. Coffee wasnât very hot and very weak. Order came to £4.70 very overpriced.

Jesters is a coffee shop located in the market town of Bungay Suffolk. All Jesters food is prepared daily on the premises and meals are made to order. The menu includes home-made cakes, home-made scones, panini's, jacket potatoes, tea cakes, sausage rolls
Well worth a visit, even if the weather doesnât encourage outward travel. A polite welcome, followed by time to read the menu. We ordered 2 Panini (Bacon,Brie & Tomato Chutney; Stilton with Mango Chutney), a tea and a coffee. Drinks were promptly delivered and the waiter asked to add chips to our order, which he did. When the food came, after a short period as we could see it being freshly prepared in the kitchen area,it was hot and most tasty. Yes, Iâll visit again, and as this place acts as the gatekeeper for the Bungay Castle it should be on the trail of any enthusiastic monument seeker.

Situated at Hedenham on the side of the Norwich to Bungay road, the former Highland cattle shed has been transformed since 2014 into a light and airy barn housing a great mix of foodie delights and some eclectic shopping opportunities. A welcoming outside
We called in for tea having driven past so many times. It was busy and lots of people were enjoying lunch. Cakes were home made and good. Fresh pies and salads looked very inviting. Will go for lunch next time. Lots of bits and bobs to buy as well as Norfolk comestibles. Some plants for sale outside. Friendly staff.

The 16th century Fleece Inn has always provided a warm welcome to locals and visitors alike. In 2015 it became a Free House and closed for major restoration; the entire ground floor was restored (including modernising the kitchen and toilets) using the be
We visited on a Saturday night, great atmosphere and a nice dining room with attentive staff. Our starter, a baked Camembert with caramelised onions was extremely good, with the onions almost certainly home made and not out of a jar. Our main courses though were disappointing, and horrid respectively, a pork belly with prawns dish, and a vegetable risotto. The flavours in the pork belly were bland and the prawns very over cooked, possibly reheated. The risotto was a mush devoid of any discernible anything, and topped with fried zucchini which were cooked to death and beyond, limp, mushy and hardly even holding themselves together. The rice had no bite at all and almost no discernible grains as it was so overcooked. I couldnât eat it. The staff handled it well, reported it to the manager and chef and removed the charge from our bill. Puddings were acceptable but not outstanding. Given what had happened I felt that the manager should have come over and talked to us, but he/she did not come near us. We paid the bill and left. We wouldnât hurry back!

Stayed here for b&b as we were at a wedding locally. Friendly welcome. We were shown our room, pleasantly decorated, comfortable - could have done with a second chair; tea, coffee - and very impressed that soya milk was provided as well as normal, cow's, milk - as well as chocolate biscuits and a sweetie jar. As well as the room key we were given a key for the door into the building from the courtyard for later.Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was individually cooked and there was a wide choice. The whole experience was just as we hoped it might be, so thank you the Castle Inn. Only downside was that the wifi didn't work which we mentioned to a member of staff - didn't really matter much. We'd stay again if in the area.
