This Sonnet 43 Brew Pub and Restaurant, has recently been refurbished to a very high standard offering locally sourced food from the finest of suppliers. You are guaranteed a warm and freindly welcome.
Well, a nice welcome and assistance carrying luggage, so a good start. The room was ok at the outset, not too small and a good-sized bathroom. Internet and TV reception was poor. We were meeting friends for dinner, and I have to say, the meal was very nice, although they didn't have enough fillet steaks for all of us. Good service, good desserts. However, in the room, the hairdryer didn't work, and although I rang down to reception, by the time I was offered an alternative.....drying my hair in another room....it was far too late. The toilet seat was "loose". We didn't bother to report it as we were only staying the one night. It was a means to an end, meeting up with friends, but not sure why it is 4 star.

This is one of our local spots and we visited yesterday. Lovely tea which is loose tea leaves. Gorgeous cakes, scones etc. Inside of the tables are games for the children too which our daughter loved! Also is a florist and sells local items which are lovely. Beautiful room and very friendly warm staff. Will be coming again!

Champs Sports Bar and Grill is located in Washington, 2 minutes from Junction 64 on the A1 North and South Bound. With a great offer, great atmosphere and great food Champs is the place to be. There is something on our menu for everyone from salads to ste
Staying in a nearby hotel visiting relatives we decided to have our evening meal in Champs, big mistake, there was no draught beer available so we ordered alternative drinks while perusing the menu. There was absolutely nothing for the vegan member of our party. Do they not realise that we are now in the 21st century? No excuse, every establishment should have vegan options on the menu.Hi Stewart237.As you were informed at the time of your visit, we had a problem with our cellar gas which meant we had no draught beer, this problem was totally out of our hands and was rectified as quickly as possible. We did reply to your email regarding vegan options, and did let you know that we had very little choice for this dietary requirement. However we take your comments on board and will be adding in Vegan options onto our next menu.We hope to see you again soon.Regards

a lovely place to stay , our room was amazing. fresh and clean. and you could see that detail was taken with every little task.the housekeeper please praise and her team as our needs were met at every level. when people save up to go away and spend cash that has been put away for a treat and you get the results that you wanted then working for this treat all year round is so worth it. the poached eggs oh my gosh are cooked to perfection. the tea served is not just a pot of tea it is a reward to the mouth. try the kippers with your poached eggs, if that does not take your fancy then try the poached eggs with just toast. the butter adds delight to the toast, thank you to all members of staff. for everything. we have enjoyed getting spoiled. we now return back to work but know when we start saving up again for a treat this place Eslington Villa will be what we aim for on our next holliday. as we drive back to Manchester we take fond memories and Genuine smiles with us. thank you again to everyone. Thank you to everyone .Thank you for your kind words. We look forward to seeing you again soon :0)

We visited here today for lunch and we were all really impressed! 1 of us chose the hot beef and onion baguette which came with chips and 2 of us had the lasagne off the lunch menu which came with either chips or garlic bread. All meals were beautiful! Friendly staff, friendly warm atmosphere and excellent prices! We will definitely be back!

We visit quite regularly and continue to be impressed with the quality and consistency. The menu is always extensive with some quite ambitious and tasty 'specials' always available. Another impressive feature is that they are able to tweak the menu to suit the customer where possible. Portions are plentiful and there is no compromise on quality. Good, well kept, beer is on offer. Prices are very reasonable for what is provided. Service is first class .Special mention for Linda for her humour alongside her very dedicated and professional approach at all times.

The âOld Smithyâ in Washington Village, is a 400 year old Grade II Listed building. The building has had a colourful past, formerly; a blacksmithâs forge, stables and even a pottery, it is famed locally for its connection to the capture of the highwayman
I haven't eaten in here in about 24 years when it was the Blacksmiths Table. We made a last minute booking yesterday for Sunday lunch and we weren't disappointed. The restaurant itself has been tastefully decorated and we just loved the fairy lights and candles. We thought it actually looked bigger. The food was amazing and my dessert......well I'm still thinking about the Ginger Ice cream and Warm Plum Bakewell. Well done to the chef, Lee. Well presented and very tasty. We'll definately be back. The staff were all really nice, especially Emma our waitress. Very polite and helpful.Until next time, thank you.

Comfortable, tasteful decor with great music playing. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and attentive. Good range of dishes at very reasonable prices.Mediterranean pasta with chicken was delicious, very tasty and piping hot from the kitchen. Cumberland curl and mash equally delicious. This came with very tasty gravy and a small amount of crispy leeks. (An extra vegetable served with this may be a good idea)Chocolate brownie with ice cream and a white chocolate and lime pie with cream were both very nice. Will definitely return
