Welcome to The Gamekeeper, we offer truly delicious food, real ales & fine wines served in the relaxing bar, in the warm intimate dining room or in the pretty fenced garden - weather permitting. There is also a large brick & timbered hall which is ideal f
My partner and I had a lovely meal at the Gamekeeper. The portions are generous, the food is good quality (the puddings are amazing!) and there is a lot of choice with additional specials available each day. The prices are reasonable. The staff were so welcoming and the pub is really cosy, we will definitely return.

Connaught's (previously DK's Coffee House) has a warm & friendly atmosphere. We pride ourselves on our wholesome, fresh homemade savouries, scones & cakes, catering for gluten free & non-dairy so please ask if you have a special requirement. We serve fant
I visited with my family this half term as their cakes always look amazing online and we wanted to check out the new decor. The coffee house is modern and homely with nice decor and the menu has a variety of lunches/breakfasts. However there were some things we were disappointed with:When I asked the waitress what syrups there were for coffee, she replied âall of them, lots, I canât remember. What do you want?â I then asked for both my favourite flavours both of which, they didnât have. Later I saw a sign with the flavours on, so she couldâve shown me that. Just seemed a bit petty to me. Coffees were tasty and the lunch was fine (even though my partner wasnât given cutlery) but they werenât far away to get up and get it ourselves. Finally, my biggest disappointment was when I ordered the best part - the cake. I was served with a very small portion of cake in comparison to my partners plentiful piece of lemon cake. I ate it in three forkfuls and felt hard done by. I would visit again as it was such a lovely coffee house and the owner seemed to be very proactive. I just think some of the staff need some extra training.Thank you for your review. I am sorry that some aspects of your visit with us left you disappointed. I will certainly be addressing the points raised with my staff. I do hope you visit again and you find the experience more positive.

A British Cafe with a continental feel. Small but well run and very clean. We had a delicious toasted cheese and ham sandwich from their deli counter followed by a banana split all made on the premises. The owners are really friendly and the place has onl

Recently visited the lodge for a meal. One of our party has coeliac disease and has to avoid gluten. The staff were very helpful and knowledgable. All the meals served were good value and of a high standard. In the end we all had the carvery. The meat was plentiful, the veg were nicely cooked and the potatoes were lovely. The stuffing ball was rather dry as were the Yorkshire puddings. It was good to have the gluten free gravy available. Overall a great value meal in nice surroundings.

Being unavoidably delayed....we were hungry ..and at least an hour from home...so we dropped into this establishment....seated almost immediately...we were told it may be 20 mins wAit for dinner ....so we ordered a bottle of wine and some water.....and then we were bought a basket of warm bread and butter....(. I rarely eat white bread ) ..however this was so very welcome and indeed very tasty....our meals were not too far behind ..possibly within 30 mins....and absolutely delicious.....staff were friendly..accommodating....we were more than happy .

*** Under New Management since 2nd August 2019 *** Country pub, in Attleborough, serving cask ales, with a good selection of wines and gins. Extensive food menu, served in the restaurant, lounge and garden areas. A Grade II Listed 17th century coaching in
The bad first. Three of us, elderly aunt with walker, me on sticks. Waiting to be seated as lady in charge of dining room checked our identity, already done twice in bar and by waiter and dithered sorting menus. Needed seating. Sort out menus after with elderly or disabled guests.Seated at table for 2. Plenty spare seats and tables. They did offer to move us to the bar.Plates too big for table.Waitress was annoying. Do you want X here or at this table. No I want it over there. Bet sheâs an ex teacher. The fire exit was blocked by a wheelchair. The access to disabled WC was blocked by chairs. The disabled WC had a huge table, commendable, with a baby changing mat, but that obstructed chair access. If Iâd been using my chair transfer would have been very difficult. Need to rethink.Food, parsnip & apple soup was excellent. The salmon with samphire, cabbage and baby roast potatoes was well cooked and a good sized portion. No need for the extra veggie portions of cauliflower cheese or mixed vegetables.Deserts were good.As we left there were still empty tables, so we could have had a larger one.Young waiter was pleasant. The lady in charge was awkward. Made us feel she was doing us a favour, rather than providing a service.Verdict: food good, plates too big for tables, service poor, health and safety and accessibility poor, needs rethinking.

Pork is the tastiest Iâve eaten anywhere. My wife says the Lamb is exceptional. The roast potatoes are crunchy with a soft centre. The cauliflower and selection of seasonal vegetables are all perfectly cooked and the gravy is a delight. The deserts are home made and exceptionally tasty too. A great family run pub/restaurant with charming staff. We canât stay away from this place!

Family friendly run business that offers everything a good village pub should have! Good food, relaxed bar and good service
Called in at the Red Lion for an early evening drink to find the bar packed out. Even though it was extremely busy we got to the bar with no problem and was served straight away by the friendly bar staff. Although we didn't eat we noticed that the restaurant was very busy so it would probably be best to book.

This is a meeting place for everyone. The staff are friendly and we serve food from suppliers using the best ingredients we can source locally. We cook as much as possible fresh on site including the cakes. This is home cooked food. The specials change on
Visited for a large vegetarian breakfast, veg sausages were nice, mushrooms were raw. The rest of the breakfast was OK, eggs were hard. My partner had a latte which he said was black and burnt. And a large bikers breakfast, he didn't enjoy the mushrooms either or black pudding. Would of cost 32 pounds which seems expensive. Nice friendly staff. And quick service Hi 240CassieeLittle confused about your review. Mushrooms are fresh being prepared and cooked before serving so. If you are used to tinned mushrooms I can understand. Latte is double shot and is a rich roast. We can serve the latte milder if that is how you like it? We are flexible.Black pudding is from a local butcher and people travel miles for the food. Obviously it was not to your liking, sorry about that.Pricewise we re very competitive with many people commenting on the value. Biker breakfast is very largePleased the service was quick and the service friendly.
