We popped in for a drink and were immediately struck by the fact that it looked like it could do with a bit of TLC. The welcome at the bar was friendly enough and the drinks were fine (and cheaper than elsewhere in town) but everywhere was just a bit tatty, particularly the outside "Beer Patio".OK for a quick drink but we left after one.Thank you for your feedback, we couldn't agree more that the pub is in need of some TLC and we are currently attempting to get the PubCo. that owns the property to invest in some refurbishments - particularly for the patio, fingers crossed!

Set in the heart of the picturesque village of West Chiltington, the Roundabout Hotel was built by Reginald Wells as part of his dream to create âthe perfect English villageâ. Offering 24 en-suite rooms, each with its own individual character and the best
Stayed for two nights, lovely accommodation, very refined, clean, everything youâd expect. Four poster bed in the superior room, very luxurious, suitably creaky with an excellent mattress. Fabulous bathroom, lovely room all round. As for the restaurant, just outstanding... Food was faultless for both nights, staff were excellent, genuinely superb in every respect. Thoroughly recommended based on the time weâve spent here, most certainly coming back.

Rather mixed feelings about The Queen's Head. Parking is fine with no problems; the decor isn't really enhanced by the cobwebs and service was very friendly & polite but rather 'relaxed'. The menu is typical 'pub grub' style - burger / scampi / spare ribs etc. but good & not too expensive. But a medium glass of wine for £5.90! Might go again but avoid the pricey wine. Hi Peter! Thanks for your feedback! We only have two wine so that are £5.90 for a medium and they are out premium wines.... our house wine is £4.40 for a medium and is fantastic! Iâm pleased you enjoyed your food and found the service friendly, we try to be relaxed here as it is a country pub at the end of the day! With regards to the cobwebs I shall go in search of them right away! Iâm afraid with the building being about 400 years old we get lots of them moving in this time of year and we must have missed some!We hope to see you again soon to try our lovely house wine this time!!

Traditional country pub with food.
As a pre holiday treat, decided to take Mum for dinner with my partner on Friday night. Fancied âpub grubâ and wanted to try somewhere new, so ventured out to Amberley. The Bridge Inn has a nice garden and terrace where we could soak up the unseasonally warm September sun. The heat soon started to fade so we headed inside around 7. The dining area was busy, but this did not compromise the excellent service throughout our meal.We chose from the regular menu and specials board. Given Mum has a smaller appetite, we shared 2 starters between 3. We selected the baked camembert and cheesy mushrooms. Both were delicious. I loved the fig chutney with the camembert. For mains, Mum and I opted for the pork special served in a cider sauce with dauphinois potatoes and broccoli whilst my partner opted for the beef burger. The pork was well cooked and tasty. The burger was filling, but heâs had better before. We were so full that I managed one scoop of the stem ginger and honeycomb ice cream. Delicious! With 5 drinks, the bill was a reasonable £82. I thought that represented good value. So a new find that weâll definitely return to. Iâd recommend booking ahead to avoid disappointment.

The Sportsman Inn is a public house offering a selection of local and Cornish real ales and delicious pub food. We have 5 en-suite B&B rooms with spectacular views over the Amberley Brooks.
I stayed at the Sportsman Inn when walking the South Downs Way. It's a bit of a walk off the trail, on the edge of Amberley, but not too far. My room was spacious and comfortable. The food was excellent: both dinner and breakfast the following morning. If the weather is nice, be sure to have a drink out on the deck overlooking the Amberley water meadows. The pub provides binoculars for better viewing. I felt that the hosts were very welcoming of walkers, and I wasn't the only walker staying there.Thank you very much for your kind review, we are very happy you enjoyed your stay with us and the food. We are very accomodating to walkers and we have many of them passing through due to our location and views.

Restored 400 year old Coaching Inn set in the rural village of Storrington. The paint has now dried and the Horse is looking resplendent with its glossy new coat following our refurbishment. So please pop down, meet the new team, see the new paint job, ta

I have been here a few times and the food is always good I tend to have the crown curry as that is my fav but its all great really as well as the Sunday roast which is always spot on. When there is nice weather there is a great outside area with animals which the kids love. The staff are always friendly too. Will be back soon.

The White Lion is a privately owned, original old coaching Inn. We are a rural hideaway set in the beautiful and picturesque village of Thakeham in West Sussex. We serve great locally sourced seasonal food, fantastic wines and usually have four real ales
Set in the heart of the old part of Thakeham this pub oozes charm and character , We hadn't booked and thankfully arrived early on a Thursday lunchtime and got a table looking out to the patio area. We both enjoyed a superb steak and kidney pudding which left us too full for desserts . Those and a pint of Guinness and a half of lager shandy cost a very reasonable £34 . Looking forward to trying it again soon

The Moon has a large menu plus daily specials, so there is a wide choice to pick from. I eventually opted for Indonesian monkfish curry from the specials board and it was really delicious. The portion size was just right, leaving me enough room for a refreshing lemon meringue sundae. My husband enjoyed his steak which was cooked to perfection. We washed the meal down with a very good bottle of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome, so I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Arundel's very own proper burger restaurant serving burgers, beers, cocktails and shakes.
We went in for an evening snack, having had a generous lunch. The food was interesting, but no real beer: lots of lagers, ales etc, but no beer, that is to say, made using Hops (which to me, defines a beer). They did have one, but it had run out...
