Visited queens arms for Sunday lunch on Sunday 7th April. The rooms are quite small but very well laid out with a lovely atmosphere we all ordered Sunday Roast we did not have to wait to long when the meal arrived it looked appetising and it certainly was all cooked fresh and piping hot in fact I will say it was the best pub meal we have ever had tasted. Needless to say we returned empty plates. We will all be visiting the Queens Arms a lot I would recommend to any one to have a meal there they will be very happy. I will be having a steak on my next visit. A lovely friendly pub.

Nestled away in the small village of Ashby Parva, is a lovely tradition pub - The Hollybush. Offering real ales, home made food and a ever changing specials board, it is a wonderful place to bring the family. With happy hour from 5-6.30 Monday to Friday,
First visit ever visit. Went for lunch while visiting a relative who had found this place by accident. Very nice pub visually inside & out. Polite, friendly staff. Very cosy but not on top of each other. Good menu selection with vegetarian options as well. The menu has plenty to choose from and it's not 'overcrowded' like some places and there's something that would please most tastes. Food is cooked to order so don't expect it in front of you immediately. This I liked as the food, and plates came out hot & nicely cooked. The menu covers lunch and dinner and discounted prices on most dishes are available at lunchtime. The three of us had a main dish and a drink for a little over £30.

A community owned village pub serving great local ales, continually changing guest ales, locally sourced freshly prepared food. Beer garden with a small playhouse for children. Dogs welcome in the bar and garden. Games room including pool table, skittles
We ate here and really wish we hadnât bothered. We ordered two pies and veg etc. My partners pie was literally still frozen in the middle. We complained and the waitress said she would take the meal off the bill. No apology at all, she seemed to find it funny that it was frozen. We live local, and definitely donât recommend this pub to anyone. Food is obviously microwaved. We are very sorry that you had a bad experience. The pies are the only thing that we do not prepare from scratch on site, this is due to limited space in the kitchen. I personally came out to speak to you after the waitress had spoken with you so again I apologise if you didnât feel that my apology was adequate.

Iâm a chef, so a tad fuss-pottish! Wow and Wow, Sunday lunch was totally epic. Congrats to the brigade. I had a big slice of succulent roast beef, 2 slices of awesome Turkey breast and a slice of the ham. The vegetables were fresh, sweet, al dente, but not raw.. the mash with melted cheese and the cauliflower/broccoli cheese, Yorkshireâs and fantastic gravy.. it was totally wonderful, the only downside was that I couldnât finish all that Iâd piled on my plate and I hate waste! Absolutely well done to the chefs and staff for looking after us. We will be back this Sunday, best Sunday lunch Iâve had in years... now I donât need to cook one, such a pleasure to find such a great place and worth every penny. Thank you Chefs, it was superb.Hello thanks for the excellent review! Iâm so glad you enjoyed your time at the crown inn. We are a family run business that tries to do our best! All veg is fresh and prepared by our team of chefs and we endeavour to deliver a top quality meal to all of our customers. Iâm so glad you had a great meal and hope to see you soon in the very near future. Kindest regards, ben

Perfect. Excellent selection of guest beers, both local and from further afield. We tried three (we were walking). All spot on. The landlord knows his stuff. We would have eaten there but we had already booked at the nearby Joiners Arms (a 30 mins walk across the fields). Many tables at The Chandler's were reserved and the place was already filling up by 7pm. The food looked excellent. We will be back for a meal.

We have been going to the Greyhound for several years now and they never let us down. The food is always really, really good. Especially the Sunday Carvery - you can tell they make sure to source good quality meat, itâs excellent. Weâve also been for evening meals during the week and these have also been lovely. The menu always strikes a good balance between having some traditional favourites and also something a little bit different. Also the staff are brilliant, always really helpful and friendly. The service always runs efficiently and makes it somewhere you really relax and just enjoy a lovely meal. The Greyhound is a lovely old inn with some great character, especially in the bar and entrance area. There is also a beautiful patio style garden running through the building that provides a lovely outdoor seating area.
