Had a large and tasty Sunday Lunch at the Liversedge. Large portions, and at under £9 for a roast, noticeably half the price you'd pay "down south" where we come from!! Very friendly staff and good service. Interior a little dated now and needs an overhaul as a little too dark and shame it doesn't take well-behaved dogs as this was a problem for us. Nevertheless would certainly recommend for roasts, and will go again.

Welcome to the Cross Keys, located in Hightown, Liversedge. We are a warm and sociable pub, welcoming to all the general public. We offer a fantastic range of refreshing beers and ales, which are all served with a smile from one of our friendly bar staff.
We met some friends for a few drinks to celebrate my friends birthday and ordered some food, itâs amazing . Definitely worth a visit. Thankyou for your review and we look forward to seeing you again x

A Great Pub/restaurant That Has A Good Local Reputation
Dropped in on the off chance Bank Holiday Sunday on our way into Cleckheaton. We asked if we could order food without booking and even though they was really busy they managed to squeeze us in. Ordered 2 pork Baguettes with chips very resonably priced and tasty. Got a nice pint of amstell also. If you want a no frills decent pub grub I'd say give this place a try.

Great family lunch. Hand battered Haddock is highly recommended. Shanell is a friendly welcoming waitress who goes the extra mile to offer a great service to all her customers. Ben is a great chef who showcases the food on offer and both are a great asset to this restaurant. Which is why we come back so often.RawsonHouse,Thank you for taking the time to leave us another 5* review from your visit to us. We stayed at The Black Horse for one night, and were very impressed. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room we had was large, clean and comfortable, and the food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. Service at the meals was exceptional, the young guy (Damien?) was superb. The main building is old so there is a bit of creaking when people move around but it isnât too bad and didnât disturb us. Excellent, we will be staying again.robertoeyThank you for taking the time to write us such a good review. We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the dinner and breakfast excellent. We have passed on your kind comments to Damien too! We hope to welcome you back soon.

A choice of 5 local real ales at just £2.80 a pint. Great value and some really nice beers, though I understand they change regularly. Some are brewed on site. Food is also very good, especially the giant Yorkshire puddings. Warm, friendly atmosphere and very welcoming staff. Recommend this place.

Hello and a very warm welcome to The New Pack Horse at Moorside, Cleckheaton. We're a freehold local pub and restaurant offering a warm welcome and a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're looking for somewhere to enjoy a few drinks with friends or a gr
Firstly can I say that the staff here are friendly and the menu is varied and the main meals we had were very tasty. The problems we encountered however seem to be common in that various meals on the menu were not in stock or available, so we had to look at alternatives. Our two desserts were nice but Luke warm not hot and again desired items were not available, so the pub lost out on starter orders and dessert orders.I was disappointed as we had friends over from America who wanted a traditional English pub meal with certain items that were on the menu but as mentioned not available. We also waited around an hour to get our food served even though we had reserved a table, there needs fo be improvements to tempt us back.

I must have been to the gray ox at least 40 times over the years . I have to say as always the food was superb . However absolutely terrible service ruined this visit which was to treat my mother and her friends. There was several issues but the reason I feel compelled to share our experience, was the attitude of the young lady who I was introduced to as the manager in the day . She totally refused to accept that anything was wrong with the service, when all I was attempting to do was give constructive feedback. Kept waiting 40 minutes to order our food was due to there being a party of 14 upstairs , coffee arriving 15 minutes before our desserts not there fault. Several other issues as well . Learn to accept feedback and apologise . Wonât be going again plenty other places who will make you feel welcome unfortunately that no longer applies at the Gray Ox !!! Hi I'm the owner of the Gray Ox & would be delighted if you would call me to discuss the content of your reviewYou don't say who you are, or even when you came in I am on the premises the majority of our opening hours and am always grateful to accept constructive criticism I note from your other reviews that we hadn't featured when our food was superb and just wondered why ?I look forward to your call 01274 872845 and ask for Aidan
