Modern dining pub serving high quality British dishes and pub classics made from local produce. We offer craft hand-pulls, superb cocktails, a great wine list with most by the glass and a superb Yorkshire Sunday roast.â
This establishment deserves the highest grade possible. Party of 5, one allergy, one vegan, plus a dog. The staff member was the most helpful iâve come across in a very long time. Food very good. Lovely friendly place, well worth a visit.

We have known the Kyte for many years(since opening in fact) and we have had some excellent experiences there with lovely meals. We have also experienced it recently and there is no comparison. Staff are ok but not as professional. In the evenings there seems to be a complete lack of good supervision. We have had two recent meals there. A few weeks ago we waited a long time and when the food came my wife's was good but mine was inedible/burnt - we were told that a new chef had started ( obviously not a good one)- remedied by staff. This week we decided to give it another go but the wait ( despite there only being four diners in the restaurant) was far too long. We were told this time that only one chef was on that evening - (they only needed one chef for so few diners.)The food when it came was disappointing. There is some good competition in the area and the Kyte in going down hill in our opinion - reflected by the very few diners on the occasions we have been there. The owners may wonder why- they should be there in the evenings to view what is going on. A great pity because it used to be so good. We can only think there will be a demise soon.Though it is on our door step, we will not be giving it another chance, unfortunately.Hello, thank you for your feedback. To help us investigate this please can you tell us which day this week you dined with us?

The Blue Bell is a great local country pub in the village of Wentbridge, West Yorkshire. Situated on the Old Great North Road, the pub dates back to the thirteenth century. Our friendly team serve good food and real ales every day. There's a large choice
Had visited here on a number of occasions and food always been good. However feel that more recently quality and standard of food and service have deteriorated. We had booked a table for 5 yesterday and felt that they could not wait to get us of our table quick enough. Two member of staff came over twice whilst one of the party were still eating which is extremely rude. We did not realise we had to eat and run!! We could see the staff discussing our table which is a bit offputting so unfortunately we wont be going there again.

Stopped here for lunch on way to the castle. Price was £7 for a carvery. 2 courses. The food was enjoyable. Very pub grub and not restaurant standard- but for the price extremely good. Beer also very reasonably priced. Decor not fantastic but still cosy and the staff were most welcoming and helpful.

Originally a busy coaching inn dating back to the 1600s, The Crown Inn is a warm and welcoming pub restaurant in the picturesque village of Monk Fryston. The Crown is under new management and our kitchen has recently undergone a complete refurbishment, al
Saturday lunch with friends, Monk Fryston was the mid way meeting point. What a find in The Crown. Great food, great portions - the pie outstanding. Good beers as well. The staff were spot on, Carlie on the bar one of the best. Highly recommended.
A family owned cafe bar by day and a cocktail gin prosecco with Draughts beers by night. Serving from 8.30 for breakfasts though till late on an evening. We serve light lunches, cater for afternoon teas, take private bookings and welcome children xx
The window table we booked 2 weeks beforehand was occupied when we arrived which was disappointing as this booking was for my friends birthday treat. The staff hurriedly set up another table for us.We had the champagne afternoon tea but instead of tea we wanted coffee which we were made to pay full price for. The food and cakes were nice but the overall experience was a let down when we were so looking forward to a treat. We wouldnât rush back.Sorry you felt the need to leave a review like this. The table was indeed occupied in the window when you arrived, we didnât really release that the people in the window would stay and drink as long as they did. This is always a hard one to judge as we couldnât leave that table free just for a booking as you can appreciate we are only a small venue. We offer three types of afternoon tea, one with tea or coffee one if you choose prosecco and the other choice is with a cocktail. You were charged for the prosecco afternoon tea and then you wanted hot drinks so yes of course we would have charged you for this. This was an extra.Glad you enjoyed the good but really a two star because you didnât get to sit in the window and you wouldnât rush back ? Thank you for dropping our score we strive to please and I challenge you to find another afternoon tea with such value for money as ours!
