We are a vintage bar and restaurant in the heart of Sutton, serving a wonderful range of craft beers, ales, wines and spirits. A curiosity-filled public house with a pub quiz every Tuesday, Chilli man every last Thursday, and more events in the pipe line.
This is a lovely eclectic pub, which is unusual for Sutton. We came here for drinks only had we had previously eaten, but the menu here looked good - particularly the vegan offering! This place gets busy, has a good vibe to it, and is very dog friendly - exactly what a pub should be!

You'll always find a warm welcome at O'Neill's in Sutton. Ours is a place where you're free to go with the flow. Where great food and drink is always served with a smile. And where, no matter whether you're a regular or a newcomer, our friendly team will
This is a very good pub, great for sport and live music. It has a great new menu and a superb choice of beers. It also has cocktails on tap! Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!

My wife and I visited here to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary. We'd passed this venue often, thinking "Yes, we really should go in.." but never did. How silly we were. It's a lovely place, with plenty of well arranged tables (not crammed in like sardines like some places), and attentive but not obtrusive staff.Food quality was amazing. The hot meze was amazing, as was my mixed grill. My wife enjoyed her chicken iskender hugely.Music was subtle and appropriate. Set the venue perfectly. We will be back, with bigger group.Thank you for a lovely evening.

Normally enjoy the service of the friendly staff at this branch when going for drinks in the evening so decided to try out lunch there having enjoyed some smaller plates before. My other half is a vegetarian and decided do go for tapas options. Was disappointed at first to find they didnât have any vegetable tempura which was surprising. We then enquired as to why the halloumi fries were not vegetarian. Neither the waiters or the kitchen staff could answer this question, offering suggestions such as âmaybe a cow died making itâ or âmaybe theyâre fried in the same oil as the meatâ. The first suggestion is obviously absurd and not helpful and the second one if true needs to be changed, although I wonder what they do with the tempura if this is the case. I ordered the meatball wrap. Unfortunately the waiter pushed the wrong button, when the food came they offered me the wrong food, trying to guilt trip me into having the wrong meal to save them time and effort. I rejected this and had to wait another 20 minutes after everyone else had finished before my food arrived. Food was alright but the terrible service means we will not be coming back.Jacobt2362, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Visited for lunch, having lived in the area for 25 years cannot believe that we have never visited before. Fantastic food cooked properly no ping microwave here. Warning go with a near empty stomach the portions are very generous. Don't get me started on the deserts out of the list there were at least 4 I wanted to try, settled on the Rum Baba with rum & raisin ice creme, grapes and rum. Will be visiting again soon. Nearly forgot to mention the topping off of the visit, Jenny the perfect hostess.

Normally stay at the greyhound, dukes head equally as nice, may even just beat the greyhound.Rooms are adequate and clean, staff very nice and at tentative, especially the lady on check in and check out.Dined in the restaurant with clients. They had the cote de boeuf which was superbly cooked and presented, I had the duck off the menu and again this was excellent. We also had a cod and chips, largest portions ever.Reasonable price and a good selection of ales, beers and ciders.

The friendliness and helpfulnes of the staff at this pub canât be beaten. When we arrived one lunchtime the music was quite loud, so I asked for it to be turned down in order to have a conversation with a hard of hearing friend. This was done immediately and cheerfully. There wasnât much choice on the menu as the food delivery van hadnât arrived by one oâclock. On the main menu there were only sausages , fish and chips and one portion of meat pie. Two of us had to have a piece each of battered salmon and cod. I donât think that battered salmon works, somehow. Because they were obviously short of what we wanted we were given a big plate of fried potato skins with dips, on the house. Delicious! We were also given larger portions of peas and tartare sauce.. The server was so very friendly and cheerful that we couldnât be cross! The lack of lunchtime food happened last time we visited the pub, so I do think that they need to keep more stock in the fridge. Nevertheless we left feeling cheerful, if a little exasperated.

Booked well in advance for father's day. Table was ready on arrival and restaurant was really busy. No surprise being fathers day. Waitress was really attentive, getting us a high chair and checking to see if we wanted a children's menu. Drinks order taken. Dads got a free pint of fosters or bitter. Main order taken and arrived quite quickly. Massive portion but really tasty. Had to grab the attention of a waitress for a wine order but overall the food was really nice, normally the potatoes are a little dodgy but not today. The only gripe would be serving parsnips which were tough as they are out of season. My husband then ordered the sticky toffee pudding and again got a massive portion. Really lovely meal. My only other issue would be the lack variety in the starter and dessert menus. We were also not aware of any specials until a guy shoved a huge slab of meat under our noses before we ordered and said this was a special on the sharing menu. Polite and friendly wait staff but just a little more variety on the menu would make this 5*Dear HirschieThank you for taking the time to write a wonderful detailed review on your Fatherâs Day lunch at The Greyhound on Sunday last.We are delighted that you enjoyed lunch with us and desert as well, all our deserts are made in house, We only had 5 of the Cote De boeuf available for sale on Sunday as a sharing special for two people. We have taken your feedback on board for greater variety of our starters and desert, we do change them according to seasonality and try to give variety for returning guests, we have passed the feedback to our chefs. Our restaurant team are delighted with your feedback and we do hope to see you again for another Sunday lunch visit,Kind RegardsAnne Marie McCarthy

The Hope is still one of the best pubs in the country.......unless you have young children! Went in for lunch after taking my grandchildren swimming and, to my horror, was told NO CHILDREN UNDER 14, AT ANY TIME, ANYWHERE ON THE PREMISES, NOT EVEN IN THE GARDEN OR IF YOU'RE EATING. Apparently the rules changed on 1st July 2019. So, after many, many years of wonderful family gatherings, particularly at weekends RIP. On the up side, as far as I know, dogs are still more than welcome!!!

A real local favourite situated just a minutes walk from Carshalton Ponds. The Sun offers something for everyone - acclaimed food a fantastic wine list and beautiful walled garden with bar and wood fired oven.
This pub is friendly and welcoming with a brilliant gin selection and really good menu. Food is good quality and tasty and much better than standard pub grub. Itâs reasonably priced too. They do a veggie menu on Mondays which is a bit disappointing if youâre a carnivore!
