Discover Restaurants offering the best Bar food in Cardiff, United Kingdom. The Welsh capital may have begun its life as a Roman fort, but it's since become a bustling city. Where the fort once stood, Cardiff Castle has held court since the 11th century. It remains a central presence in the city, now full of lively art and music venues, hip boutiques, fun bars and modern hotels. Even with so many new and exciting things to see, the National History Museum is still the most visited attraction in Wales. Don't be the only visitor who plays hooky!

Youâd expect Tiny Rebel to have an amazing bar in their home town, sadly itâs a bit of a dump. I donât understand why as the beer comes from a few miles away yet many of the pumps were off. So no sampling the more unusual craft beers. Bar tops were sticky and dirty, bar tags messy and all served in standard horrible pint glasses. No craft beer glasses here. Nor any merch! Not even worthy of an insta beer snap as itâs such a dive. They say itâs an âurban barâ whatever that means, it looks run down and dirty. Certainly not showcasing their amazing range of beer. My suggestion, head down Church St as thereâs a few ace pubs which have an amazing selection of craft beer. Hi DJ,Really sorry you felt that way when you visited. It seems like you've come in at a time when we're changing a lot of our beers over and getting the bar back to it's normal standard after a seriously busy international rugby date.Apologies for the pint glasses - we serve pints in straight glasses, but had you asked for a half we have some very nice Tiny Rebel branded tulip glasses. As for your comments about merch - we have a large range of t shirts and hoodies available at the moment, and haven't run out of stock in a fair while. Maybe we didn't have your size - in which case the bar staff should have told you to check the online store where we ship directly to you straight from the brewery shop.Apologies again that you weren't happy with your experience here - hopefully we can impress you next time you're in Cardiff. Thanks for your feedback,LiamGeneral Manager

We booked for their sharing steak platter with two friends last week. The Exchange Hotel where the restaurant is situated is a fantastic old building with an enormous amount of history and ambience - well worth a look around on your visit!I was a little worried when we arrived just after 7 for a 7.30pm booking and the place was empty. However, we were greeted by the friendly barman and head waiter, who served us some great drinks as we sat at the bar. As we were having the sharing steak platter which we were advised our meal would take around 40 minutes to prepare. We ordered some sharing nibbles of the menu which arrived tasty and was readily consumed. We looked at the wine menu, and had some great tips provided by the waiter - which proved to be an excellent decision! The place gradually started to fill up and was getting fairly busy as the evening drew on.The food was excellent - the rib-eye steak was delicious and tender and cooked perfectly. The waiter was attentive, friendly and not pushy and gave us plenty of time between courses. The desserts were great to, as was a glass of port to finish the meal. All in all it was an excellent meal, and excellent venue and a very pleasant dining experience. We'd definitely go back for another meal there. Highly recommended.Hi,Simon thank you very much for your 5 star review, glad you enjoyed our steak sharer and service from my staff, I will let my staff know about your lovely review towards them, hope to see you soon again to try our other dishes from our ala carte menuThanks

The management needs to learn a bit more about customer service. Rude, bad service from the higher ups. Felt bad for our friends that paid for the meal!Kevin456789, we would appreciate it if you took the time to give us, and anyone else reading your review, a little more detail please. Uninformative and pointless leaving such a review unless you are going be more specific about the date you visited and problems you encountered.

I donât often frequent bars but today was different as me and a group of friends decided to head into Revolution for some cocktails to drown our sorrows after the rugby result. Now as someone that is usually a beer drinker, I decided to go for a cocktail and the âRussian Spyâ was the one I went for as I have a bit of a sweet tooth, the bar was exceptionally busy but the wait was over before it even began, and I was confronted by the lovely âNellyâ, who made sure I knew about Happy Hour, and gave me the option between dairy and non-dairy. She served me with a smile, delivered some amazing cocktails and I will be spreading the word from now on! Thank you Revolution.Hi Paulturner33, thank you for your review and for letting us know how we did! It's great to hear you had a great time with us and I do hope we see you again very soon. Have a great day!
