We decided to have a takeaway meal to help celebrate a family birthday. We phoned our order through and stated a time for delivery. We were given our slot and prepared to take delivery. It didn"t matter to us but food came 45 minutes early- could have been a problem if some guests had not arrived at that time. The food was excellent, most of us choosing different dishes to somebody else. It was tasty and hot and reasonably priced too.We would certainly use them again.

It's great to see Alam back in Ferndown. For four years we had to drive to Woodlands to experience Alam's great cuisine. Four of us had a celebratory meal here and I know Alam at Cinnamon never disappoints. Good flavoursome food beautifully presented with a service second to none. Where else could you have a birthday cake served by the owner singing "Happy Birthday to you" (in tune too ! ) We will be coming back for sure to where we know is the best Indian food around.

How long does it take a cook a curry? In the case of India Cottage, around three hours. We repeatedly asked but no apology. The service was unfriendly throughout. The food was only average when it finally arrived. Perhaps such a large restaurant should either have more kitchen and waiting staff or reduce the number of bookings. Either way, I would not recommend or return

Yes this is a nice place to eat on the edge the town. Very traditional and does a lot of take aways. Service was prompt and food was exactly what you would expect. The restaurant itself is small and only holds maybe 12 dinners and it has no windows! The midweek offer at £14.95 is very good value

Food was ok, and customer service was good and very quick. Dopiaza was good and a generous portion size. Tika was also nice, although the taste of coconut was far more overpowering than the spice itself - but still nice nevertheless. Vindaloo was nice and hot, but had a not so pleasant surprise to find a large chunk of mango in the dish. Naan was nice and doughy, and Baji was good. On the whole, a pleasant meal however. Would recommend.

Enjoyed a fabulous Sunday lunch with the family. An extensive & delicious menu and very attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We are all foodies and would not hesitate in recommending this resturauat. Excellent value for money. Some of the guests commented that it was the best Indian they had experienced - high praise indeed. Sadly I live about an hour away, but would definitely return! The staff are it a memorable experience!Thank you for your kind words, Always a pleasure. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Fine dining Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant
Although the food was really good, the service is slow an inattentive. After being seated and being served after some time with poppadoms and drinks, it was around 40 minutes before we got to order our food. There seemed to be no one in charge with any customer service skills. If this area was addressed it would make the experience so much better.

The pictures of this restaurant are NOT representative of the place we ate at last week. The address is the same BUT:-1. There are no tablecloths2. There are no curtains at the window3. The chairs and wall lights are completely different4. Their website reviews are dated 2009 to 2011.Is Someone or something not being entirely transparent here? Or have I gone into a time-warp?Thanks for your feedback, however, I'm a little confused.1. There are tablecloths, but at the back section of the restaurant and not at the front section.2. There are curtains/blinds on the front section of the restaurant, but not at the single window at the back3. Cushioned bench seats and chairs have been newly upholstered and are more comfortable, but LIGHTS are STILL the same! i.e. NOT changed.4. All reviews shown on our website are linked back to Tripadvisor/Google websites, and you can see all recent reviews on both.Recent photos are also on Tripadvisor/Google websites, so there's NO question on transparency. The question is, did you visit the restaurant to enjoy the more important aspects, such as the quality of food and the high standard of service one would expect?Hopefully you'll visit us again and give us your feedback on the latter.Thank you!Kindest regards.

Indian, Bangladeshi home style, child friendly, Authentic Indian, Takeaway and local delivery service.
I have previously been for a banquet meal at this restaurant and it has been good. I returned again and had a poor meal. The website said 5 courses and £13.95. When we got there it was £14.95 and only four courses. The starters were ok but the main courses weren't. two people had shaslick and the lamb was tough, which was abit of an issue as we had asked for chicken shaslick. My lambmuti sizzler didn't sizzle and was more onions than lamb, which as with the shaslick was a bit tough. Compared to other meals at this place it was very poor. Service was not good with some very excessive delays for some other diners.

This place is usually pretty good - especially since theyâre the only option in the area.Unfortunately they packed my takeaway with poppadoms that were clearly from yesterday and had been sat around. Soggy and soft... gross. It was early in the evening so they were likely getting rid of last nightâs leftovers. Only noticed when I got home. If these were served to me in the restaurant, theyâd have gone straight back. A really cheap shot on their part, to mug them off on a takeaway. Pots of mint sauce were only half filled too. Mains were ok, if a bit more gristle in the meat dept. than there has been in the past.Nothing special. Going downhill.
