We offer a range of accommodation to fit all backpacker and midrange budgets, with dormitories, singles, twins, triples and self-contained double rooms all available at the city's best prices.
Really welcoming, accommodating and professional team. Lovely double room, very comfortable and clean. The on site bar and restaurant is an added bonus, always busy with good service and food. Had a fab stay, will be back.

ViaVia is located alongside beautiful fish ponds with a spectacular view of the water and the opposite hill in a lush green environment: plain African nature full of birds, monkeys, turtles and more. All rooms are self-contained with lodge-style mosquito nets overlooking the garden. Our garden, backyard & pond view rooms have private verandas. We also have three stunning tents that are fully equipped and have everything guests need for a fantastic glamping experience. From freshly made smoothies and local beers to some good old Ugandan coffee: our beloved bar has it all. On today's menu you will always find fresh and healthy food, spiced with world flavours and a Belgian touch. If you’re lucky, you can share your breakfast with the resident monkeys playing in the trees while you’re relaxing on our outside terrace or in one of our hammocks.
I stayed at Via Via at least 3 times in Aug. and Sept. 2021. It's one of my favorite hotels of all time. The staff is extraordinarily kind and competent. One day a restaurant server called my attention to a rare, shy sitatunga (antelope), knowing how much I appreciate all wildlife. The staff helped me with transportation and with getting copies of my Covid tests for travel. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need. The food is delicious. The property is gorgeous and lush with a little pond; the outdoor dining area overlooks the pond. Prices are very reasonable. Via Via feels like home and I can't wait to go back!

Simba Safari Camp is a safari accommodation on the border of Queen Elizabeth National Park and only 2 km from the equator. Located on a hill it offers spectacular views of Lake George, the Kazinga Channel and the savannah plains teemed with wildlife. The camp offers 11 spacious rooms with en suite facilities and private verandas, as well as 4 dormitory rooms and a campsite. A restaurant and well-stocked bar are also available.
I stayed at Simba Safari on a last minute stop with a friend. The accommodation is comfortable and spotlessly clean. The pool is a great bonus too! The staff were very friendly and accommodating and were able to arrange a comprehensive safari trip at short notice. The food is excellent - a very tasty three courses served after a long day on safari. We had a wonderful time! Thanks Simba!

We have been visiting Red Chilli for several years for a mix of business and pleasure, and were delighted to find it has retained its atmosphere of friendliness and fun post-lockdown, following the easing of travel and other restrictions. We could not have done our work at Butabika Hospital so effectively without the support of Debbie, Anton, Katie and their team of lovely local staff. Nothing was too much trouble, and with improved internet (including in the rooms) we were able to connect with our colleagues across Uganda. And when work was done we had the friendly bar, home-cooked food (the best pizzas we've ever tasted), and a lovely garden and pool, with great views and many birds, to enjoy. The on-site ATM and easier transport links via the new Kampala ring-road also helped. At the end of our project Red Chilli organised a superb and well-priced mini safari for us, which reminded us what a beautiful and varied country this is, with cheerful, welcoming and resilient people and wonderful wildlife. We highly recommend Red Chilli for anyone visiting Uganda with modest means, and who does not require frills, but wants a multi-cultural experience in an authentic setting.

We are a small family run boutique Bed and breakfast located 5 minutes from the Jinja business center and 1 minute walk to lake Victoria in the affluent neighborhood of Masese rise. We look forward to hosting you.
This is what Jinja has been missing. A quiet yet organic place that vibrates good energy and people. There's art in every room by local photographers. It felt like we were on safari through wonderful Uganda because of all the art and photos they put in this place. I'm definitely planning to come back for another visit. If you are in Jinja, look no further than this cute little place.

Acacia Villa is easy to find since it pops up on Google Maps and thus Safe Boda, for example. That's a real plus when you are staying at a new place. I found Acacia Villa on airbnb. (It has a great write-up and lots of room options at this and a second building very close by). I then extended my stay for another few days. I opted for the shared dorm which was fine because most nights I was the only resident. There was a metal trunk in the dorm (tip. Always carry your own padlock with you). Accommodation is quite basic but regularly cleaned. Towels aren't provided (but perhaps you can hire them?) Plenty of water for hot showers; reliable internet. Rates are room only. Breakfast is $4 a day for a set menu EG fruit and freshly made samosas. You can also buy beers and sodas on site. I enjoyed meeting the owner Austin. He is interested in every guest and makes everyone feel welcome, whether expats like me, international tourists or Ugandans returning to visit family. Benjie was friendly and very helpful. Acacia Villa runs a good show. I recommend staying with them and, despite the proximity to Kisementi, it's not that noisy, just a hum of background traffic. Good view from hill. Pretty at dawn!

Elementis Entebbe is not your ordinary Guesthouse, nor a crowded backpackers, but something special. Elementis Entebbe is for the young and not so young, the global traveler and local visitor, for quick stop-over or a deep dive into the city. Enjoy an al fresco breakfast of your choice on the garden terrace every morning. Lots of great restaurants and bars are located within a few minutes’ walk from Elementis and the airport is just 5 minutes’ drive away. Our themed modern rooms add to the fresh touch and we focus on quality, cleanliness, and service all at good value for money. Surrounded by a beautiful garden with mature tropical trees, Elementis Entebbe is a great retreat where green lawns and a cool lake breeze meet. So when you’re planning your next trip to our part of the world, book your spot at our guest house. We look forward to welcoming you!
Was a very nice experience and a very relaxing way to finish my 6.5 weeks in Uganda. The guesthouse is incredibly clean, with numerous areas to relax (and even play monopoly!). The staff were all incredibly helpful and even showed me the best places to find local food. The location is very good - the lake is just across the road with attractions such as the botanical gardens, the beaches and the mall all within walking distance. ‘The Rolex Guy’ is an amazing food place not too far from the guesthouse I would definitely recommend this guesthouse due to the quality experience that you will have while avoiding the very high prices that some of other hotels are charging. A nice bonus was that this place had the best wifi i found in all of uganda XD

This place was by far the cutest and cleanest i have ever stayed in. My friends and I felt super comfortable right from the start and we were satisfied with everything. The cooking worked particularly well. There was drinking water, you could buy soft drinks and every bed had a mosquito net. No matter if with many or a few people - the accommodation is worth it. I also left my ring in the accommodation and it was sent to me in the mail so quickly and easily afterwards. The service is so friendly and accommodating! Thanks a lot for this. Any time again.

MY WORST EVER EXPERIENCE. This is CRAZY PLACE EVER which makes zero sense to everyone. I stayed there for 10nights. On the last day, I got to hostel from outside at 10pm. I pushed the buzzer twice and my friend was honking the horn twice. The worker opened the door and said "ARE YOU CRAZY? YOU ARE WITH CRAZY PEOPLE" This two worker were completely high on alcohol and marihuana. I tried to suppress my anger and tried to talk with them to figure it out what problem is. But this guys have completely got insane. They act as if there's no one except them. So I called the owner. But owner has a problem as well. Only one thing he's concerning about is that I'll make a bad review. What I want was their sincere apologize. He didn't seems as though he would apologize about this situation. I've been traveling world 2years. I haven't gotten mad like that night. They should've apologized for this problem, even if I did a mistake! I didn't want to stay with them, I had to change to the other hostel in 12:30AM. DO NOT GO THERE. AVOID THIS PLACE AS POSSIBLE AS YOU CAN. There're the another good hostel called FAT CAT, RED CHILLI, BUSH PIG. Spend money little bit more, stay well.

Sunbird backpackers hostel is a great place to stay if you are wanting somewhere close to the airport. They will arrange a taxi for 10usd. Lydia and Patrick are super kind and helpful. Rooms and bathroom/shower are clean. I was the only one there (quiet season). It is close to grocery store, botanical garden And a good walk to restaurants along lake victoria.
