Spotted this reastaurant, entered into it like in another world, and had wonderful, tasty dinner here. Tasty dishes and very nice, smiling staff. We enjoyed it so much, that next day we made extra 90 kilometers trip to eat here again.

I totally don't understand why people complain about that place: actually the lack of menu and the staff approach (which is kind and friendly, by the way) gives that place the unique and positive ambience. The quality of food, particularly of dumplings (pierogi), pork fat or liquors is unquestionably high. If you prefer vegetarian food, you can also find something interesting. Moreover - you can see real buffaloes walking nearby!!

The interior of the restaurant is in a traditional Polish gentry style. There was also an exhibition of photographs of old Tykocin.
I would say it's a so-called Kosher restaurant because there are only a few jewish dishes. I've chosen the Turkey in cymes. I cannot judge it because I'm not familiar with jewish cuisine. I liked it, but it was a little too sweet for me. The prices are reasonable, but not very low. For Turkey and tea I paid about 30 PLN.

Zamek w Tykocinie (Tykocin Castle) is still in reconstruction but the restaurant is working and doing good job. Menu contains traditional Polish dishes as well as dishes form very tasty traditional Jewish cuisine. Affordable prices, short waiting time. Strongly recommended

I suggest not to visit this place. The waiter is arrogant. He orders the customers not to ask for the menu but to go back and read at the entry. Next he instructs categorically when you can sit in the yard or on the Terrace. Finally, after waiting for 20 minutes, he is not willing to take the order. Simply speaking it is a lousy place.

Been here for late lunch, we were fascinated by energetic, competent and helpful, very friendly waitress. The menu is rather short, the portions are big and TASTY; go ahead and try! Sander with cheese on spinach is excellent

We've been here on our short weekend trip - and we were fully impressed by quality of meals we've had; the staff is very friendly and professional, the dumplings are yummy (my favourite: duck-meat stuffed ones, YUM!)
A small place with huge potential, I hope it will NOT turn into "mass-tourist experience", it would kill the place.
